Round 14 of the 2026 Indy NXT by Firestone series at Portland International Raceway has been completed. View the full results here.

Alessandro de Tullio leads the field away from pole, with Lochie Hughes alongside him on the front row. Behind them, Tymek Kucharczyk and Max Taylor make up the second row, while championship leader Nikita Johnson starts ninth and Enzo Fittipaldi 14th.

Just one point separates Johnson and Fittipaldi entering the weekend, and Kucharczyk lurks 25 points back. Portland is set up to be a deciding factor in the championship battle as the series enters its final stretch. Meanwhile, de Tullio will look to convert his eighth pole of the season into his second win of 2026.

De Tullio leads the field to green

Contact between Taylor and Hughes while Jack Beeton is spun by Nannini in the chicane. De Tullio leads through turn one.

Alexander Koreiba runs through the grass at Turn 11, dropping to the back of the field, while championship leader Nikita Johnson suffers the biggest position loss of the opening lap. Johnson falls from ninth to 14th by the time the caution flies.

Carson Etter’s strong start comes undone on the front straight. After climbing from 19th to 14th, Etter spins with gearbox issues and brings out the first full-course yellow. He is now in the pits and one lap down.

Contact throughout the field

De Tullio gets a strong launch on the restart, while Taylor holds Kucharczyk at bay for third. Fittipaldi and Johnson run nose-to-tail as the championship rivals continue their battle both on track and in the standings.

Niels Koolen makes contact with Myles Rowe while attempting a pass into Turn 1, spinning the No. 99. Rowe continues but drops to 15th, while Koolen is handed a drive-through penalty for the contact.

Max Garcia climbs to ninth and challenges JM Correa for eighth before overshooting Turn 1 and cutting across the chicane, dropping back to 11th.

Josh Pierson pits for a front-wing change on the No. 29 Andretti Global machine, while Nicolas Stati also makes a trip through the pits.

Bart Harrison and Nolan Allaer continue their impressive super-sub runs, with Harrison climbing from 17th to 10th and Allaer jumping up to 11th from 22nd.

De Tullio goes green-to-checkered at Portland

The race settles into a rhythm through the second half, with de Tullio controlling the field from the front. The top five remain as they started.

Correa continues to run sixth, with Fittipaldi and Johnson close behind. The championship contenders remain separated by less than a second, with Fittipaldi holding seventh and Johnson eighth.

Contact between Beeton and Rowe at turn 1 causes some conversation about the position, before Rowe drops behind Beeton for 13th. The two continue to battle to the last lap. Contact once again at turn 1 has Beeton up in the air and the two fall back to

De Tullio goes green-to-checkered to claim victory, setting the second-fastest lap of the race on the final lap. Hughes crosses the line second, while teammate Taylor returns to the podium in third.

Fittipaldi finishes seventh ahead of Johnson, taking the championship lead by one point with four rounds remaining.
