Noah Strømsted will make the step up to Formula 2 (F2) with Invicta Racing for the 2027 season, joining 2026 F3 TRIDENT teammate Freddie Slater as the Danish driver prepares for his debut campaign in the championship.

The 19 year-old makes the step up after spending two seasons in Formula 3 (F3) with TRIDENT, finishing sixth in his rookie campaign in 2025 before placing tenth in the Drivers’ Standings with 65 points this year. Although the Dane endured a challenging run of results towards the end of the season, a major highlight of his campaign came at the Red Bull Ring, where he claimed his long-awaited maiden Feature Race victory.

The pair will form an all-rookie lineup at Invicta Racing, a team that has secured back-to-back Drivers’ and Teams’ championship titles and remains on course to claim a third consecutive Drivers’ title with Rafael Câmara this season.

Strømsted “excited” for next chapter in his career

Looking ahead to the next chapter of his career, Strømsted expressed his excitement about stepping up to F2 in 2027, saying: “I’m really excited to be stepping up to FIA Formula 2 with Invicta Racing next year. I’ve learned a great deal competing in FIA Formula 3 since 2024 and I feel ready to take on the next challenge in my career. Over the past few seasons, Invicta Racing has established itself as the performance benchmark on the F2 grid and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone in the team. I can’t wait to start preparing for 2027 and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”

CEO and Team Principal James Robinson added: “We’re delighted to welcome Noah to Invicta Racing for the 2027 season. FIA Formula 3 is one of the most competitive categories in junior single-seater motorsport and, after following his progress closely, we believe that Noah has all the qualities to be a future champion, so we’re very much looking forward to helping him make the step up to Formula 2. With Noah and Freddie [Slater] working alongside each other, I’m very excited to see what we can achieve.”
