Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing will join the Euroformula Open grid in 2027 as the British outfit expands its single-seater racing operations beyond the United Kingdom. The Northampton-based team has acquired three Tom’s-powered Dallara 324 cars ahead of its debut in the GT Sport-organised championship.

The announcement marks another significant step in the team’s development following its participation in the 2026 GB4 Championship. Furthermore, the new programme combines the extensive single-seater experience of ADM Racing founder Gary Ward with Nitrous Competitions’ success in motorcycle racing. The move also strengthens Euroformula Open’s growing 2027 grid as the championship continues its expansion efforts.

Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing builds on GB4 experience

The partnership between Nitrous Competitions and ADM Racing began in 2025, bringing together two organisations with different motorsport backgrounds. While Nitrous Competitions established itself as a leading contender in the British Superbike Championship, ADM Racing contributed decades of experience across junior single-seater categories.

Team Principal Gary Ward previously competed in Formula 3000 before moving into senior management positions within the single-seater racing industry. His experience has helped shape the team’s development programme and its ambitions for further expansion.

During the 2026 GB4 season, the outfit continued strengthening its operations. Notably, Jamie Leverton’s arrival alongside Luke Hilton and Caitlyn McDaniel expanded the team’s presence to three cars.

Consequently, its forthcoming Euroformula Open programme represents the next stage of an increasingly ambitious single-seater operation. The team now intends to apply its experience in British racing to a championship competing across several major European circuits.

Ward highlights Euroformula Open’s technical package and growth potential

Ward identified the championship’s technical regulations, competitive machinery and established circuits as major factors behind the team’s decision. Moreover, his previous involvement in Euroformula Open gave him valuable insight into the series and its organisational structure.

“When we looked at options beyond the UK, the Euroformula Open came as a natural choice”, Ward said. “The technical package, with the Dallara 324 chassis and the Tom’s engine, is arguably the best, the circuits are brilliant, and the GT Sport platform is great. I had the chance to work in Euroformula some years ago, and I was impressed by the level of professionalism of the organization and the excellent and friendly atmosphere, so we are over the moon to be able to compete in the Euroformula from next year onwards.  We believe the Euroformula has a massive future and we are thrilled by the prospect of contributing to bring back the series where it should be”.

British Superbike success provides momentum for European expansion

Meanwhile, Nitrous Competitions enters its latest motorsport venture following a successful period in the British Superbike Championship. The organisation recently celebrated a championship triumph, providing further encouragement as it broadens its racing activities.

David Williams, representing Nitrous Competitions, welcomed the opportunity to expand the partnership with ADM Racing into another single-seater championship.

“We’re delighted to be joining the Euroformula Open in 2027. It’s an exciting new chapter for the team as we expand into a new single-seater category alongside ADM Racing. Having just celebrated winning the British Superbike Championship this past weekend, it’s a great time for us to take on a new challenge, and we’re looking forward to being part of the series and contributing to its future.”

The expansion reflects the partnership’s ambitions to establish a broader presence across different motorsport disciplines while building on its existing experience.

Euroformula Open welcomes renewed British involvement

For Euroformula Open, the arrival of Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing carries significance beyond the addition of another team. The championship continues working to strengthen its grid and rebuild connections with the British motorsport industry following the disruption of recent years.

Euroformula Open General Manager Jaime Pareja welcomed the Northampton-based operation and highlighted the importance of restoring British participation.

“We extend a warm welcome to Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing and thank them for their support. It’s great news to have a new team, and such an enthusiastic one, on board. Reviving the ties with the UK that got loose after Brexit is certainly crucial for the re-launch of the series, and we are convinced that having a British squad in the field again and having a round in Silverstone back in our calendar will benefit the Euroformula tremendously.”

Additionally, the championship’s revised 2027 calendar includes a return to Silverstone from 14–16 May, further strengthening its connections with British single-seater racing.

Three-car entry adds to Euroformula Open’s expanding 2027 grid

Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing’s arrival follows another significant announcement for the championship. In September, Palou Motorsport confirmed its own three-car Euroformula Open entry for 2027, bringing additional experience and resources to the series.

Together, the two programmes represent six planned entries for the forthcoming campaign. Their commitments also underline the championship’s efforts to attract new competitors and strengthen its position within European junior single-seater racing.

For Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing, preparations will now focus on establishing its Euroformula operations and maximising the potential of its three Dallara 324 cars. Although the team has yet to confirm its driver line-up, its commitment signals a substantial expansion beyond its existing British racing activities.

The 2027 Euroformula Open season will begin at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão in April, giving the Northampton-based squad its first opportunity to compete in the championship.
