Cetilar Racing has officially unveiled the livery of its #47 Ferrari 499P ahead of the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS), marking the Italian outfit’s entry into the championship’s new Hypercar category. The unveiling took place at Pharmanutra’s headquarters in Pisa, with the car featuring the team’s traditional electric blue and fluorescent green colours.
The Ferrari will compete with technical support from AF Corse, with team owner Roberto Lacorte sharing driving duties with his son Nicola Lacorte and Ferrari factory driver Antonio Fuoco. The all-Italian line-up will contest six four-hour races across three European circuits, beginning at Circuit Paul Ricard on 13–15 November.
The programme represents another milestone for Cetilar Racing, which finished runner-up in the 2025/26 ALMS LMP2 championship. Its move into Hypercar alongside AF Corse introduces a new challenge as the championship welcomes the category for the first time.
Cetilar Racing reveals traditional colours on Ferrari 499P
The #47 Ferrari 499P features a predominantly deep electric blue design with fluorescent green stripes, maintaining the colour scheme that has characterised Cetilar Racing’s endurance programmes throughout the past decade.
The team has previously carried variations of the design across its LMP2 and GT entries in ALMS, the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Its application to the Ferrari 499P marks the first time Cetilar Racing’s colours have appeared on a Hypercar.
For Roberto Lacorte, seeing the completed car represents an important moment in the team’s history.
“Today is a very special day, marking a milestone in Cetilar Racing’s history. Seeing the beautiful Ferrari 499P up close in our colours is an incredibly powerful feeling, one I find hard to put into words.”
The team owner also highlighted the significance of sharing the car with his son and Fuoco as Cetilar Racing prepares for its most ambitious programme to date.
“We face a demanding but also hugely exciting challenge; a new chapter, certainly the most significant yet, for a team that has written important pages in the history of endurance racing worldwide over the past ten years. The 499P is an iconic car, an extraordinary machine that I will have the pleasure of sharing with an exceptional driver like Antonio Fuoco and with my son Nicola. That, too, is a dream come true. I cannot wait to get out on track at Paul Ricard in a few weeks and start turning it into reality.”
Nicola Lacorte and Fuoco welcome new Hypercar challenge
The programme will bring Roberto and Nicola Lacorte together in the Ferrari 499P alongside Fuoco, combining the team’s family connection with the experience of a factory driver familiar with Ferrari’s Hypercar machinery.
For Nicola, the opportunity represents a particularly significant step in his career. Having watched Cetilar Racing develop over the years, he will now become directly involved in the team’s progression into endurance racing’s highest category.
“For Cetilar Racing, this represents a major milestone, the culmination of a remarkable rise. The team has progressed from the entry-level categories to the very pinnacle of endurance racing and motorsport as a whole.”
“I think that means a great deal for the entire project. Being part of this team at this particular moment in Cetilar Racing’s history is something special, because I have always watched it grow from the trackside, and now I find myself playing an active role behind the wheel.”
Meanwhile, Fuoco returns to Cetilar Racing after previously competing alongside Roberto Lacorte in several endurance programmes. The Italian was also part of the team’s 2025/26 ALMS campaign, sharing an Oreca LMP2 with Lacorte and Charles Milesi.
“My journey with Cetilar Racing began in 2021. Since then, we have grown together, worked on many programmes and competed in numerous championships. But I think this is something of a dream for all of us. The Ferrari 499P is a car that has written important chapters in motorsport history, and having the chance to drive it is a tremendous opportunity for everyone.”
Cetilar Racing builds on a decade of endurance competition
Cetilar Racing’s Hypercar debut follows nearly a decade of competition across international endurance championships. The team contested five consecutive editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 2017, securing ninth overall and seventh in LMP2 on its first appearance.
It subsequently competed in WEC between 2019 and 2021, claiming a GTE Am victory at the 8 Hours of Portimão with the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo during its final campaign.
The team also established a presence in IMSA between 2022 and 2025, securing GTD victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2022. The following year, Cetilar Racing became the first team to compete with the Ferrari 296 GT3 in the American championship.
Its most recent ALMS campaign produced two victories at Sepang and a runner-up championship finish for Roberto Lacorte, Fuoco and Milesi.
Cetilar Racing will now face AF Corse’s independently entered #90 Ferrari 499P, driven by Luís Pérez Companc, Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye. The two entries form the inaugural Hypercar field within the 47-car 2026/27 ALMS grid, alongside 16 LMP2 and 29 GT3 competitors.
Ferrari 499P set for ALMS debut at Paul Ricard
The 2026/27 ALMS season will take place entirely in Europe following the championship’s temporary relocation from its traditional Asian and Middle Eastern venues.
Each event will feature two four-hour races, creating a six-race championship across three weekends:
- 13–15 November 2026: Circuit Paul Ricard, France
- 15–17 January 2027: Circuito de Jerez, Spain
- 19–21 February 2027: Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal
The opening round at Paul Ricard will mark Cetilar Racing’s first competitive appearance with the Ferrari 499P, beginning a new chapter for the Italian organisation as it steps into Hypercar competition.
