For the french-outfit Saintéloc Racing, 2025 marks the third year of competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA). Founded in 2004, the team’s portfolio spans from the World Rally Championship-2 to GT Racing across multiple European series. However, it was only until 2022 where they ventured into single-seater racing as they made their debut in the Spanish F4 Championship. With Ethan Ischer and current F3 driver Théophile Naël at the wheel, Saintéloc Racing made its debut at the Spa-Franchorchamps round and went on to finish seventh in the Teams’ Championship that year.
In 2025, the French team presents a lineup of promising young talents: Nikita Bedrin, Tim Gerhards, Yaroslav Veselaho and Maya Weug. After six rounds of the season, Saintéloc Racing sit P6 in the Championship Standings, with 42 points.
Nikita Bedrin (#10)
The 19 year-old enjoyed considerable success early in his career, particularly in karting. Bedrin made his single-seater debut in 2021 where he joined the Formula 4 UAE Championship with Xcel Motorsport. However, for his main campaign that year, the Russian’s main focus lied in the Italian and ADAC F4 Championships, partnering Ollie Bearman, Joshua Dufek, Bence Válint and Han Cenyu at Van Amersfoort Racing. Since then, Bedrin has progressed through the single-seater ladder, competing in multiple Formula 4 championships and, most notably, FIA Formula 3.

One of three full time drivers on the team, Bedrin currently leads the trio in terms of Drivers’ Championship Standings. After accumulating 42 points, Bedrin finds himself in 10th overall. Starting off the season strong in Misano, Bedrin secured a P7 and P6 in Race 1 and Race 2 respectively.
Spa-Francorchamps brought good, but slightly less strong results with P15 in Race 1 and P9 in Race 2. Rounds 3 and 4 are where Bedrin’s performance began to unravel. Zandvoort saw mixed emotions after a DNF in Race 1, was followed by P10 in Race 2. Unlike Zandvoort, Hungary failed to bring a positive. Bedrin was disqualified from Race 1, continuing on to DNF in Race 2.
His luck started to shift again when FRECA arrived at Paul Ricard. With an average result of P14 in Race 1, Bedrin recovered and secured a top ten finish in Race 2—he took home P8. Round 6 in Imola—and the final round until Spielberg in September—brought his best results of the season. Race 1 landed Bedrin a solid P7 finish, while Race 2 saw a step up to the podium, taking home P3.
Tim Gerhards (#50)
Ahead of his single-seater debut last year, the Dutchman participated in numerous testing sessions. Subsequently, it was soon announced that Gerhards would contest in the 2024 Formula Winter Series and Spanish F4 Championship with Monlau Motorsport. While the 18 year-old only managed a best finish of P18 during the two rounds he joined the Formula Winter Series grid, the season ended with him placing 33rd in the Drivers’ Standings. Moving to the Spanish F4 grid, it was only during the Paul Ricard round where he scored his first points after a ninth and tenth place finish in Race 1 and 3 respectively.
Gerhards sits in P27 at current, having scored no points so far. Misano saw an awful start to his season, leaving the weekend with a double DNF. Luck began to change for the Dutch driver in Spa-Francorchamps when he secured P20 and P21 in Race 1 and 2 respectively.
The following four rounds brought misfortune for the Dutchman. His home race in Zandvoort saw an unfortunate P17 in Race 1, followed by another disappointing result, DNFing Race 2. Unfortunately for Gerhards, he was forced to miss Round 4 in Hungary, after an elbow fracture injury.
Round 5 at Paul Ricard, and Round 6 in Imola both brought fairly similar results. Gerhards secured P20 in Race 1 in both rounds, followed by a P19 and P17 in Race 2 of Round 5 and 6 respectively.
Yaroslav Veselaho (#96)
The Ukrainian driver made his single-seater debut in 2023 when he joined the French F4 Championship. That year, his fifth place finish at Circuit de Pau-Ville earned him his only points of the season, and he ended the campaign 21st in the Drivers Standings’. In 2024, Veselaho took the next step up to race in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship and contested in his rookie FRECA campaign with ART Grand Prix. This year, he returns to the FRECA grid representing new colours.

The third full time driver for Saintéloc Racing is Yaroslav Veselaho. Veselaho began his 2025 FRECA campaign in Round 2, and has since failed to secure a single point. This has landed him in P29 in the Championship Standings.
In his first round of the season in Spa-Francorchamps, Veselaho was only capable of a P24 and P22 result in Race 1 and Race 2 respectively. The following two rounds in Zandvoort and Budapest brought slight improvement in result. Race 1 in Zandvoort, the Ukrainian settled for P22, going on to drop a position from this, to secure P23 in Race 2.
Continuing on the climb of slightly stronger results, Veselaho found himself securing his best results of the 2025 season. In Race 1, he managed to secure P21, going on to do a few better in Race 2, and taking P18—his best result all season.
The misfortune returned for the Ukrainian in Round 5 in France. Race 1 saw Veselaho taking a DNS, while he only managed a P22 finish in Race 2. The most recent round in Imola was not a great deal better, taking P23 in both races of the weekend.
Maya Weug (#50)
Maya Weug stepped up in Round 4 in Hungary, to take the place of injured Tim Gerhards. After getting the call up for a single FRECA round, Weug did not have the most successful weekend. The Dutch woman managed to finish a respectable P22 in Race 1, although her luck turned in Race 2, where she was forced to DNF.
