Reflecting on her performance in the 2025 F1 Academy Dutch GP Qualifying session, Tina Hausmann remains positive. She has stepped out of her car post-Qualifying in Zandvoort with added joy. After securing a P7 in Qualifying—one of her better Qualifying results—Hausmann strives to take her maiden victory.

Her P7 result in Qualifying puts her on the front row of the grid for Race 1, starting from P2 due to the reverse grid format. This starting position provides her with a strong opportunity to battle Gademan beside her for the win.

A positive Qualifying session

With a strong result secured, Hausmann is understandably pleased with how she managed Qualifying. The start of the session saw a damp track, meaning the Swiss driver started on wet tyres. Her pace was strong, so she wouldn’t be disappointed if the races were wet.

The track eventually dried enough for slicks, and while the transition to slicks was rough, Hausmann managed well. She is incredibly happy with P7, and even happier with her reverse grid P2. Hausmann looks forward to the racing.

“I’m very happy with how I managed the session,” she stated. ”It started super when we did a few laps on the wets. We were really strong, so I hope it’s going to rain in the race. Then we managed and we adapted super quickly.

“It wasn’t easy to switch from the wets to the slick tyres, but after a few laps I also managed to do well on them. I’m happy with P7, P2 for the reverse grid so I’m looking forward to it.”

Haussmann’s time to win

Hausmann has had a best result of P4, in which she has secured twice. Even with this strong result, the Swiss driver is ready to take her maiden win. She remains hopeful that this weekend, especially Race 2 could provide the opportunity to win.

Starting from the front row of the grid, she is well aware that if it rains like predicted, it will come down to who can adjust to conditions the quickest. Despite this, she is hungry for the win, and will do everything in her power to secure it.

“Hopefully, yes! I’m ready, I can’t wait. I think it’s going to be tricky with the chance of rain and everything. It’s going to be about who can adapt the quickest, so I’m really hungry (for it).”

On-going momentum

Hausmann acknowledges the momentum herself and Prema have had since the beginning of the season. The Swiss driver’s performance has been getting better, and she has been able to bring forward and build on her Montreal performance.

Hausmann claims that she never lacked confidence within the car, rather she now has more time to recharge her own battery since graduating school. This brings a newfound strength and readiness. She looks forward to the final portion of the season, and further maximising her performance.

“We have had a good momentum since the beginning of the year,” Hausmann stated. “It’s getting better and better. Now I’m happy that I can keep it and go forward with what we’ve done well in Montreal and improve what we still have to improve.

“The confidence was never missing in the car, but I think now with graduating school and having time to recharge your batteries, it just gave me a lot of new strength. I feel as ready as I did at the beginning of the year again, so really happy to get the second part of the season started.”
