The 2025 FIA Formula 3 season came to a close at Monza, where Rafael Câmara had already sealed the Drivers’ Championship heading into the final round. The spotlight instead shifted to the fierce battle between Trident and Campos Racing for the Teams’ title. Alongside that fight, the Italian GP weekend delivered a mix of triumphs and setbacks, with several drivers and teams leaving Monza on a high, while others faced disappointment.
Winners of the 2025 F3 Italian GP
Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak – Campos Racing

Inthraphuvasak closed out his 2025 F3 campaign in style, taking victory in the Monza Feature Race. The Thai driver showed promise early, setting a 1:38.921 in Practice to go P7. With Qualifying split into groups, he ran in Group A and finished just 0.013s behind Ugo Ugochukwu, securing P2 in the session. However, as Group B produced the fastest overall time, Inthraphuvasak lined up P4 on the grid. His Sprint Race ended in disappointment after contact with Brad Benavides in the opening laps, which dropped him 10 positions, but he bounced back superbly in the Feature Race.
Starting from P4, Inthraphuvasak gained a place when Charlie Wurz was eliminated at the first corner. He held P3 after the Safety Car restart on Lap 3 but dropped behind Noel León and teammate Tsolov at the second restart on Lap 5. When Ugochukwu went wide at Ascari, Inthraphuvasak reclaimed P3 before pulling off a bold move on Tsolov to take second. A decisive overtake on Benavides secured the race lead, and with Campos still fighting for the Teams’ Championship, both he and Tsolov held position to deliver not only a memorable Feature Race victory at the F3 Italian GP, but also the title for Campos Racing.
Nikola Tsolov – Campos Racing

After previous disappointment leading up to the final Round of his 2025 F3 campaign, Tsolov bounced back at Monza to claim P2 in the Driver Standings, emerging as one of the winners at the F3 Italian GP. He looked strong heading into the weekend, placing P2 in Friday’s Practice session. In Qualifying, he secured P3 in Group B, which translated to a P5 start overall. The reverse grid saw him line up P7 for the Sprint Race, where he was running comfortably in the points. However, a last-lap ambitious move on Giusti at Parabolica backfired, sending him into a spin and dropping him to P22 by the chequered flag.
Starting from P5 in the Feature Race, Tsolov worked his way through the field, passing Noel León and Inthraphuvasak. When Ugochukwu went off at Ascari, he climbed to P2 and began pressuring Benavides for the lead. However, Inthraphuvasak then overtook him, before both Campos drivers swept past Benavides. Holding position to the finish, Tsolov secured P2 in the Feature Race and, crucially, enough points to leapfrog teammate Mari Boya and clinch second place in the Drivers’ Standings.
Roman Bilinski – Rodin Motorsport

From being in a hospital bed just a year ago after a road accident, Roman Bilinski capped off a remarkable 2025 F3 season with a Sprint Race victory in Monza. He impressed early in Qualifying, finishing P3 in Group A, which put him P7 on the grid for the Sprint.
Bilinski made his way forward with decisive moves on Taponen, Giusti, Zagazeta, and Van Hoepen to reach P3. A bold dive on Stenshorne at Turn 1 saw the latter run wide, and after his team instructed him to give back the place, Bilinski crossed the line in P2. Post-race, he inherited victory when Tim Tramnitz was handed a 10-second penalty for not engaging the start setup procedure correctly.
In Sunday’s Feature Race, Bilinski added a solid P7 finish, collecting 16 points across the weekend. This result lifted him from P15 to P11 in the final championship standings, a fitting end to a season that showcased his resilience and determination.
Noel León – Prema Racing

Noel León enjoyed one of his strongest weekends of the 2025 F3 season at Monza. He showed impressive pace in Qualifying, finishing P2 in Group B behind Benavides, which placed him P10 on the grid for the Sprint Race. León made steady progress through the field, but a five-second penalty for causing a collision with Badoer and Wurz dropped him out of the points despite finishing P8 on track.
He bounced back on Sunday in the Feature Race, delivering for Prema Racing with a composed drive to P3. It marked his first and only podium of the 2025 season — a well-earned reward to cap off his campaign on a high note.
Rafael Câmara – Trident

Having already sealed the 2025 F3 Drivers’ Championship in Round 9, Rafael Câmara arrived at Monza aiming to further underline his dominance. However, the weekend didn’t go entirely to plan. Despite setting the fastest lap in Qualifying, it was deleted for track limits, leaving him to start both races from the very back of the grid.
In the Sprint Race, Câmara showed strong pace as he carved his way forward, climbing up to P12 at the flag. A post-race penalty for gaining a lasting advantage on Taponen dropped him further down the order, dampening the result. But the Brazilian bounced back in style on Sunday. From P30 on the grid, Câmara stormed through the field to finish an impressive P5 in the Feature Race, once again demonstrating the speed, racecraft, and determination that defined his title-winning campaign.
Losers of the 2025 F3 Monaco GP
Tim Tramnitz – MP Motorsport

Tim Tramnitz arrived at Monza still in contention for P2 in the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Drivers’ Championship, but his hopes quickly unraveled. Qualifying proved difficult, as he could only manage P5 in Group A, leaving him P10 on the Feature Race grid but with a second-row start for the Sprint.
The German looked to have salvaged something from the weekend after climbing past Van Hoepen and Stenshorne to finish the Sprint in P1. However, post-race drama struck when the stewards handed him a 10-second penalty. He was found to have not engaged the mandatory start-up procedure at the beginning of the formation lap, an infringement that dropped him out of the top three.
The penalty compounded a frustrating weekend, leaving Tramnitz without the points he needed in the fight for runner-up in the standings.
Brad Benavides – AIX Racing

Brad Benavides capped off his 2025 FIA Formula 3 season with a mixed weekend at Monza. After an unexpected Qualifying performance saw him claim the Aramco pole position in Group B, the American looked set for a strong points haul in the Feature Race.
However, his Sprint Race unraveled almost immediately. On the opening lap, Benavides hit the back of Inthraphuvasak at Ascari, earning himself a 10-second penalty and two penalty points on his Super Licence, ending any hopes of a solid result.
Sunday’s 2025 F3 Italian GP Feature Race started on a more positive note, as Benavides launched well from pole and held the lead in the early laps. But as the race progressed, he struggled to maintain pace against his rivals. He eventually slipped behind Tsolov, Inthraphuvasak, and León, crossing the line in P4.
Ugo Ugochukwu – Prema Racing

What initially looked like a promising weekend for Ugo Ugochukwu fell to pieces. The American impressed in Qualifying, topping Group A and holding provisional pole until Group B saw Benavides finishing quicker, placing Ugochukwu P2 for the Feature Race and P11 for the Sprint.
The Sprint offered little reward, as he failed to score points, but the Feature Race promised redemption. Holding P2 at the first Safety Car restart, Ugochukwu appeared set for a fight with Benavides for victory. However, his hopes were dashed when he ran wide and spun into the gravel, forcing him to retire. What could have been one of his strongest weekends of the season instead ended in bitter disappointment.
Charlie Wurz – Trident

Charlie Wurz entered the F3 Italian GP weekend aiming to support Trident’s push for the Teams’ Championship. However, the Austrian endured a tough finale and left Monza without scoring points. In the Sprint Race, contact with Brando Badoer forced him out of contention, while his Feature Race ended almost immediately after he was caught up in an incident at Turn 1 on the opening lap, resulting in an early retirement.
Mari Boya – Campos Racing

Mari Boya started the 2025 F3 Italian GP weekend holding P2 in the Drivers’ Standings after a strong run of form, including a Feature Race victory at Silverstone. However, his Monza outing did not go to plan. Qualifying proved difficult, as he managed only P9 in Group B, leaving him down in P18 for both races and with an uphill battle to score points.
Boya recovered well in the Sprint Race, climbing through the field to finish P6, before adding more points with P8 in the Feature. Despite his efforts, the results were not enough to fend off teammate Tsolov, who outscored him to snatch P2 in the Drivers’ Championship.
