F1 Academy returns this week after a month-long break following the 2025 Dutch GP. Round 6 heads to Singapore, marking the penultimate stop before the season finale in Las Vegas. After Zandvoort, the title fight has been reignited, with former contenders back in the mix. With the Marina Bay Street Circuit offering plenty of opportunities to score big points, the 2025 F1 Academy Singapore GP is shaping up to deliver crucial storylines and high-stakes racing throughout the weekend.

The Championship Battle

The Drivers’ Standings took a dramatic turn after the last round in Zandvoort. Chloe Chambers, who had been holding P2 behind Championship leader Doriane Pin, endured a weekend to forget, where she not only ran wide in Race 1 and lost positions, but then suffered a technical issue in Race 2 that left her stranded on the grid before the formation lap. As a result, she slipped to P3 in the standings.

Maya Weug has now seized P2 following a stellar performance at the Dutch GP. She claimed P3 in Race 1 and then dominated Race 2 from lights to flag, taking a home-race victory that cut Pin’s lead to just 20 points.

Pin, meanwhile, experienced her most challenging round of the season so far. After a hard-fought P6 in Race 1, her lowest finish of the year, she salvaged a podium in Race 2 thanks to Ella Lloyd’s five-second penalty. The Championship leader arrived at Zandvoort 37 points clear; she leaves with her advantage trimmed to just 20.

In the Teams’ Standings, Prema Racing may not have always looked like the dominant force this season, but their recent resurgence has firmly put them back in the driver’s seat for the title. With 224 points on the board, the trio now hold a 45-point advantage over Campos Racing, who sit second on 179. If Prema can stretch that margin to 87 points this weekend, they will officially secure the Teams’ Championship once again.

Circuit Preview

F1 Academy returns to the Marina Bay Street Circuit this weekend after making its debut there last year. Measuring 4.94 km in length, the track will host two 14-lap races — each covering 69.16 km. Abbi Pulling set the F1 Academy lap record in 2024 with a 2:03.631 and dominated the weekend by winning both races. With 19 corners and Singapore’s notoriously humid conditions, the circuit promises a demanding and unpredictable challenge for the drivers.

Bruce replacing Anagnostiadis for TAG Heuer due to injury

Last week it was confirmed that Megan Bruce will step in for Tag Heuer, replacing Aiva Anagnostiadis for Round 6 after Anagnostiadis sustained a fracture to her left foot and was ruled out of the event.

Bruce, who is currently contesting her second GB4 Championship season, impressed during the F1 Academy Rookie Test sessions at Navarra, finishing inside the top four in both sessions. Now, she will be eager to convert that testing form into race experience as she makes her competitive debut for the team. However, Singapore will be no easy introduction, with the demanding pace of the weekend, the added challenge of humidity, and the unique pressure of a night race format.
