After an exciting 2025 FIA F3 season, the top three drivers and teams gathered to receive their trophies and celebrate at the FIA Formula 2 and 3 Prize Giving Ceremony in Abu Dhabi.

Rafael Câmara claimed the Drivers’ Championship in his rookie F3 season, securing the title at the F3 Hungarian GP after a strong campaign with TRIDENT. Whereas, in the Teams’ Championship, Campos Racing earned their maiden F3 title, with their drivers Nikola Tsolov and Mari Boya finishing second and third in the standings, respectively.

MP Motorsport finished third in the teams’ standings with 177 points, as Tim Tramnitz took P4 in the final drivers’ standings.

Câmara on his record-breaking championship campaign

Speaking at the F3 prize-giving ceremony, Câmara reflected on his season with TRIDENT: “I was anxious coming into this year about what it was going to be like. After the Barcelona test, there was still a big question mark. I think all the teams were just trying to find the best performance for Melbourne. I think we realised early on we were in a very good position,” he shared, having claimed pole position and the Feature Race win in Melbourne.

The Brazilian driver secured four Feature Race victories and five pole positions. He went on to break records and clinched the title with a round to spare, earning a well-deserved promotion to Formula 2 with Invicta Racing in 2026.

“I was able to extract the best from the car and we had a very good season, a lot of good moments and some tough weekends too. Sometimes you have difficult moments, but that’s just how F3 is.”

“We kept calm, did a good job and everyone in the team was together. There was a good atmosphere, and it was very nice to be part of the TRIDENT team. I am very grateful for what they did for me,” he concluded.

Tsolov and Boya on the rise

Since joining F3 in 2023, Nikola Tsolov and Mari Boya have developed into title contenders with Campos Racing. The two teammates fought it out until the very end, pushing each other hard throughout the season. As the 2025 season marked their third year in the championship, Tsolov and Boya showed their experience through strong results and performances.

Vice-Champion Tsolov said: “It was a positive season. We won the Teams’ Championship which is really nice and Campos have been fantastic all year. So big thank you to them and looking forward to what comes next in Formula 2.”

Having replaced Pepe Martí, the Bulgarian driver took part in the final 2025 Formula 2 rounds in Lusail and Abu Dhabi with Campos Racing, and will continue driving for the team in 2026. Tsolov has already impressed, securing a P3 podium finish in the Yas Marina Sprint Race.

Like Tsolov, Boya will take the next step up the single-seater ladder, where he’ll join the 2026 Formula 2 grid with PREMA Racing. This season, Boya claimed a Feature Race win at Silverstone and four additional podium-finishes.

The Spaniard said: “Really happy about how the season went. To be honest, it didn’t start out how we planned or how I’d have liked, especially with me being an experienced driver. The most important thing is that everyone was getting more and more confident and finding more speed,” he explained.

“I felt strongest at the end of the Championship. It gave me a lot of momentum to take into next season and start the best way as possible. Super happy and grateful to all the people that made it possible.”

Teams reflect on closely fought championship fight

The Teams’ Championship fight went all the way to the final round in Monza, where Campos Racing took victory with an 11-point lead over TRIDENT. The season finale saw Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak claim his first Feature Race victory, with Tsolov finishing P2.

Adrian Campos Jr. accepted the trophy and shared the secret behind their way to success. He said: “I think that being a family has been key. We went through the worst thing that can happen to a racing team but I think that made us stronger. For sure, I think everyone in the team will agree with me if I said that I’m here to stay for a bit longer!”

Though TRIDENT missed out on the Teams’ Championship by a small margin, having last won the title in 2021, Team Manager Giacomo Ricci praised the team’s efforts.

“First of all, it has been a very, very strong season for us. So I want to thank everyone involved with the team – Maurizio, the mechanics, the engineers, they provided a very strong car for the whole season,” he said.

“It means a lot, but I have to say congratulations to Campos, it was a great fight all the way to the end in Monza. Let’s hope to be in that position next year. Maybe not the final race, maybe one earlier!”

MP Motorsport secured 3rd place, with drivers Tim Tramnitz, Bruno Del Pino, and Alessandro Giusti claiming six podiums in total, with their highest-placed driver, Tramnitz, taking the Sprint Race victory in Imola.

Team Manager Jeremy Cotterill briefly said: “I’m extremely proud of our team. I think we could have done better but next year we definitely will.”
