Jaguar TCS Racing heads to the Formula E Jeddah E-Prix with confidence and momentum after a landmark weekend in Miami. Mitch Evans secured a sensational victory in damp conditions at the Miami International Autodrome, charging from ninth on the grid to claim the team’s first win of the 2025/26 season.

The result marked several milestones. Evans secured his 15th Formula E victory and surpassed 1,000 career points, becoming only the fourth driver to reach that figure. The win also delivered Ian James his first triumph as Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal.

While Miami provided a major boost, the team now turns its full attention to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, where the first double-header of Season 12 awaits.

Evans: “A big opportunity to really ride this momentum”

Mitch Evans arrives in Saudi Arabia determined to capitalise on Jaguar’s upward trajectory. “Getting the win in Miami was a huge boost – for me personally of course, but for the whole team too,” he said. “It was one of those races where everything just came together, and to take my 15th Formula E victory with Jaguar made it even more special.”

“Now the attention shifts to Jeddah, which is a completely different challenge. We’ve shown we have the pace, and if we execute well across both races, there’s a big opportunity for us to really ride this momentum.”

The high-speed waterfront layout presents a contrasting test to Miami’s damp and unpredictable conditions. However, Evans’ recent form has elevated him to sixth in the Drivers’ World Championship, providing a solid foundation as the campaign gathers intensity.

Félix da Costa: “I’m ready to keep pushing”

António Félix da Costa also demonstrated strong pace in Miami. He qualified third, ran comfortably in podium contention and briefly led the race before unavoidable contact forced him back to eighth. Despite the frustration, he secured valuable points and reinforced the team’s competitiveness.

“Miami was bittersweet – the pace was there, the car felt great and we were fighting at the front, but the contact took away what could have been a really strong result”, he said. “Still, we came away with double points and a lot of positives to build on. Mitch’s win just shows what this team is capable of.”

“I’m feeling more and more at home in the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 every weekend, and as a team we’re heading in the right direction. I’m ready to keep pushing and fight for a big result in Jeddah.”

James: “Our focus is on carrying that momentum forward”

Team Principal Ian James believes Miami provided more than just silverware. He sees it as proof of the team’s progress and resilience.

“Miami was an important moment for the team – not just because of the victory, but because of the way we achieved it,” he stated. “The performance, the execution and the resilience shown by everyone demonstrated what this group is capable of.”

“As we head into Jeddah, our first double-header of the season, the focus is on carrying that momentum forward. The Corniche Circuit is fast, technical and spectacular under the lights, and we’re ready to build on the progress we’ve made. There’s a long season ahead, but Miami has given us a strong platform to push from.”
