On Monday and Tuesday a two-day 2026 IndyCar test took place at Sebring, view the best times and full results below.
Hunter McElrea got a rare opportunity as he took to the wheel for Ed Carpenter Racing. He impressed with the ninth quickest time across the two days.
Out front, Marcus Armstrong led the way. The New Zealander clocked a 52.372 to be fastest across Monday and Tuesday, beating Kyle Kirkwood by a tenth. Six-time champion Scott Dixon rounded out the top 3.
Multi-time champions Will Power and Alex Palou completed the top 5. Along with VeeKay and Rosenqvist, the Spanish driver set his best time on day 1.
Arrow McLaren had a quiet test regarding fast times. Pato O’Ward was their lead driver in P14. Teammate Christian Lundgaard was a couple of places behind. Nolan Siegel was P19.
As for the rookies, Caio Collet in P13 was the lead one. Dennis Hauger was 22nd overall. Former Formula 2 champion Mick Schumacher was 24th.
Nonetheless, the German can take encouragement from his improvement from day 1 do day 2. After posting a 54.2 on Monday, he lowered it to a 53.4 on Tuesday.
The field will gather for more testing at Phoenix Raceway next week.
