ART Grand Prix’s Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak steps up to F2 in 2026 following a statistically stronger Formula 3 campaign after a challenging rookie season. The Thai driver secured three wins and finished 7th in the Drivers’ Standings, with his Monza Feature Race victory propelling him into the top ten. Heading into his rookie season with the French outfit, Inthraphuvasak has already experienced a Formula 2 weekend, having raced in last year’s season finale in Abu Dhabi with Trident.

Speaking in a recent virtual media session, the 20 year-old spoke with Pit Debrief and other media outlets about how he has been preparing ahead of the season opener in Melbourne, sharing: “Yeah, obviously, moving up to Formula 2 this year, it’s going to be my rookie year. So there’s a lot of things I have to get used to that’s different to Formula 3. But the preparation so far has gone really well. I spent a lot of time in the winter break going to the factory in ART, preparing on the sim and also doing a lot of pit stop training, which we don’t have in Formula 3.”

“So yeah, it’s been a pleasure to work with the team so far. I think we’ve got along very well with each other. I think the pre-season test days, the last three days have gone super, super well. We got some very positive data. And yeah, I think I finished the season off last year in the best way possible. So yeah, I’m just trying to bring the momentum from last year onwards this year.”

Lessons to learn from experienced teammate, Kush Maini

For the 2026 F2 season, Inthraphuvasak is aiming for results and growth, with the perfect teammate to learn from: returning driver Kush Maini, who enters his fourth season in the championship. He highlighted the value of having a teammate like Maini and added that their testing sessions had gone well so far. With a strong relationship between them, he hopes it’ll push them to deliver strong results for the team.

“Yeah, like you said, Kush [Maini] has a lot of experience in this championship. For sure, he’s been with top teams in the past. So for sure, he can share that knowledge to ART now to help the team grow.
I think we’ve worked very well together in testing so far. I think we have a good relationship.”

“So yeah, just try to push each other forward and hopefully get some good results for the team together.”

The 2025 season proved challenging for ART, as the team finished 8th in the Teams’ Championship with 127 points. With Inthraphuvasak and Maini behind the wheel, the French outfit will be hoping for a stronger F2 campaign in 2026.
