ames Egozi strengthened his grip on the 2026 Eurocup-3 Drivers’ Championship with a perfect pair of victories at Monza, extending his advantage at the top of the standings from 56 to 93 points.
The Palou Motorsport driver overcame a five-place grid penalty to win Race 1 before recovering from an early mistake and navigating three Safety Car periods to triumph again in Race 2. His 51-point haul increased his championship total from 142 to 193.
Ean Eyckmans remains second despite a quieter weekend, while René Lammers climbed from fifth to third after securing podium finishes in both races. Keanu Al Azhari consequently slipped to fourth, while a point-less weekend for Heitor Dall’Agnol dropped the Palou Motorsport rookie from fourth to fifth.
Palou Motorsport also extended its Teams’ Championship advantage, moving 78 points clear of MP Motorsport as the 2026 season heads towards its fifth round at Silverstone.
Egozi doubles up to extend championship lead to 93 points
Egozi arrived at Monza holding a 56-point advantage over Eyckmans after recovering from his Race 1 retirement at Imola to dominate the second main race.
His Monza weekend began with second place in Qualifying 1, just 0.086s behind Palou Motorsport teammate Rafaël Pérard. However, Egozi received a five-place grid penalty for impeding Al Azhari and was therefore forced to start Race 1 from seventh.
The penalty ultimately did little to stop the championship leader. Egozi gained three positions immediately at the start before working his way past Patrick Heuzenroeder and Al Azhari. He then caught Pérard and took the lead on Lap 10 before resisting his teammate following a late Safety Car restart.
Egozi crossed the line 0.556s ahead of Pérard and also claimed the fastest-lap bonus point with his 1:41.910 on Lap 5. The result gave him 26 championship points from the opening race alone.
He again qualified second in Qualifying 2, this time missing pole to Christopher El Feghali by only 0.006s.
Race 2 proved significantly less straightforward. Egozi attacked El Feghali at the start but locked up at the Variante della Roggia and dropped to sixth. Three Safety Car periods and repeated changes of leader followed, but Egozi steadily recovered before passing Dall’Agnol for first during the closing stages.
His second victory of the weekend added another 25 points and completed a maximum return from the two races.
Egozi therefore leaves Monza with 193 points, 51 more than he had following Imola. With Eyckmans adding only 14 points across the weekend, the American’s championship advantage has grown by 37 points to 93.
Eyckmans holds second as Lammers moves into third
Eyckmans remains Egozi’s nearest championship rival, although the MP Motorsport rookie was unable to match his Imola points haul.
The Belgian finished eighth in Race 1, collecting four points, before improving to fifth in Race 2 for another 10. His 14-point weekend moved him from 86 to 100 points.
However, teammate Lammers made substantially greater progress.
The Dutch rookie started Race 1 further down the order but moved forward during the opening stages and emerged as one of the principal contenders behind the Palou Motorsport pair. After battling Christopher El Feghali following the Safety Car restart, Lammers reclaimed third and secured his first podium since Portimão.
He went one better in Race 2.
Lammers initially crossed the line third but inherited second when Dall’Agnol received a 10-second post-race penalty. The 18 points for second, combined with the 15 scored on Saturday, gave him 33 points at Monza.
Lammers consequently rises from fifth to third in the Drivers’ Championship with 89 points, only 11 behind Eyckmans.
The MP Motorsport teammates are now Egozi’s two closest challengers, although the championship leader holds more than three main-race victories’ worth of points over both.
Al Azhari slips to fourth as Dall’Agnol scores no points
Al Azhari dropped another championship position despite scoring in both Monza races.
The Hitech driver challenged near the front during Race 1 before eventually finishing sixth, adding eight points. He then qualified third for Race 2 and led following one of the restarts, but lost ground during the closing stages. A post-race one-position penalty left him eighth in the final classification and with four additional points.
His 12-point weekend increased his total from 74 to 86, but Lammers’ stronger results moved the MP Motorsport rookie three points ahead.
Al Azhari therefore falls from third to fourth and now trails Egozi by 107 points.
Dall’Agnol endured an even more costly weekend.
The Palou Motorsport rookie arrived at Monza fourth in the standings on 68 points but left with exactly the same total.
After finishing outside the points in Race 1, Dall’Agnol played a central role in the fight for victory on Sunday. He led on multiple occasions and crossed the line just behind Egozi, apparently completing a Palou Motorsport one-two. However, a 10-second penalty dropped him to 16th in the final classification and removed what would have been a significant points haul.
With Lammers and Al Azhari both moving ahead, Dall’Agnol drops to fifth on 68 points.
Powell, Sztuka and Pérard close up behind
The battle immediately behind Dall’Agnol tightened considerably at Monza.
Alex Powell remains sixth after increasing his total from 49 to 62 points. The Griffin Core by Campos rookie recovered from a difficult start to finish 10th in Race 1 before producing a much stronger fourth-place result in Race 2.
However, Kacper Sztuka has drawn level with him.
The Tecnicar by Amtog driver failed to finish Race 1 but rebounded on Sunday. Sztuka crossed the line fourth before Dall’Agnol’s penalty promoted him to third, giving him his second consecutive Eurocup-3 Race 2 podium after also finishing third at Imola.
Those 15 points lifted Sztuka from 47 to 62, leaving him tied with Powell. The official championship classification places Powell sixth and Sztuka seventh.
Pérard also continued the progress he made at Imola.
The French rookie claimed his maiden Eurocup-3 pole position in Qualifying 1, earning two championship points before converting the position into second place behind Egozi in Race 1.
His Sunday ended far earlier after contact during the opening stages forced him to retire from Race 2. Nevertheless, his pole and runner-up finish gave him 20 points for the weekend, raising his total from 38 to 58.
Pérard remains eighth but now trails the tied Powell and Sztuka by only four points.
Heuzenroeder and El Feghali tied inside the top 10
Patrick Heuzenroeder and Christopher El Feghali leave Monza tied on 41 points as the battle at the lower end of the championship’s top 10 also tightened.
Heuzenroeder entered the weekend 10th following his maiden victory in the Imola Sprint Race. He continued his strong run with fifth in Race 1, adding 10 points, although he failed to score in Race 2.
His total therefore rises from 31 to 41 points, promoting him to ninth.
El Feghali made an even larger gain. After finishing fourth in Race 1, the Drivex rookie produced a 1:41.605 to claim pole position for Race 2, beating Egozi by only 0.006s. He led the early stages on Sunday but lost ground following contact and eventually finished seventh. El Feghali nevertheless recorded the official fastest lap on the final tour.
The combined points from fourth place, his pole, seventh place and fastest lap increased his championship total by 21, from 20 to 41 points.
El Feghali consequently climbs from 13th to 10th, behind Heuzenroeder in the official classification.
Gianmarco Pradel drops from ninth to 11th after failing to score at Monza. He remains on 33 points and is now tied with Thomas Strauven, who added six points through seventh place in Race 1.
Genaro Trappa sits 13th on 29 points after finishing sixth in Race 2, while Enzo Tarnvanichkul remains 14th after adding two points for ninth on Sunday.

The official standings leave Egozi 93 points clear of Eyckmans, while the battle behind the championship leader remains far closer. Only 32 points cover Eyckmans in second through Dall’Agnol in fifth, while just 10 separate Dall’Agnol, Powell, Sztuka and Pérard from fifth to eighth.
Palou Motorsport extends Teams’ Championship lead
Palou Motorsport also strengthened its position at the top of the Teams’ Championship.
The team arrived at Monza 56 points ahead of MP Motorsport on 216 points. Egozi’s two victories formed the foundation of another strong weekend, while Pérard’s Race 1 podium added significantly to its Saturday total.
Palou scored 44 points from Race 1, including Egozi’s fastest-lap bonus, before Egozi’s victory contributed another 25 on Sunday. Its 69-point Monza haul increases the team’s championship total to 285 points.
MP Motorsport also enjoyed a productive weekend, largely through Lammers and Eyckmans.
Lammers’ third and second places combined with Eyckmans’ eighth and fifth-place results helped MP add 47 points. The Dutch squad moves from 160 to 207 points, remaining second but now 78 behind Palou.
Griffin Core remains third after adding 30 points across the two races. Heuzenroeder, Powell, Strauven and Tarnvanichkul all contributed scoring results, increasing the team’s total from 108 to 138 points.
Hitech remains fourth on 120, 18 behind Griffin Core. Al Azhari scored in both races, while Trappa’s sixth place in Race 2 provided another important contribution.
Tecnicar strengthened its hold on fifth through Sztuka’s Sunday podium. Its 15-point weekend moves the team to 62 points.
Drivex made one of the strongest relative gains after El Feghali’s productive weekend, rising from 20 to 39 points. Double R added two points to reach eight, while Caretti’s 10th place in Race 2 moved GRS from three to four. TC Racing remains ninth with one point.

Palou Motorsport’s advantage has therefore increased from 56 to 78 points, while MP Motorsport has created a substantial 69-point cushion over Griffin Core in third. The closest battle among the leading teams remains between Griffin Core and Hitech, separated by 18 points.
Egozi carries commanding advantage towards Silverstone
Monza proved to be the most significant round of the season so far for Egozi’s championship position.
After entering the weekend 56 points clear, two victories and a fastest lap allowed him to leave with a 93-point advantage. He has now won six of the season’s 10 races and scored 51 of the 52 points available to him across the two Monza contests.
Behind him, the identity of his closest challenger continues to change. Eyckmans retains second, but Lammers’ 33-point Monza weekend has placed him only 11 points behind his teammate. Al Azhari remains another three points back, while Dall’Agnol’s failure to score has left him increasingly vulnerable to Powell, Sztuka and Pérard.
The midfield has also tightened, with Powell and Sztuka level on 62 and Heuzenroeder and El Feghali tied on 41. Pradel and Strauven are likewise equal on 33.
Palou Motorsport holds a similarly commanding Teams’ Championship lead following Egozi and Pérard’s Race 1 1-2 and Egozi’s second victory on Sunday.
The 2026 Eurocup-3 season resumes with Round 5 at Silverstone from 11–13 September. Egozi will arrive in Britain with an opportunity to turn his already substantial advantage into an increasingly decisive championship lead, while Eyckmans, Lammers and Al Azhari head a chasing group fighting to keep the title contest alive.
