Alex O’Grady has extended his lead of the 2026 GB4 Drivers’ Championship standings following a dramatic fourth round at Silverstone.

The KMR Sport driver leaves the circuit with 247 points, moving 25 clear of Fred Green. Luke Hilton has climbed into third on 205 points after winning the opening race and finishing third in Race 2, while Enzo Hallman has dropped to fourth on 187.

Further behind, Dayton Coulthard remains fifth, while Thomas Ingram Hill’s breakthrough weekend has brought him to within six points of the Douglas Motorsport driver. Meanwhile, Connor Willis has surged from 13th to 11th after converting reverse-grid pole into his maiden GB4 victory.

O’Grady extends lead as Green recovers from Race 1 setback

O’Grady entered Silverstone with an 11-point advantage over Green after taking control of the championship at Donington Park. Once again, consistency proved crucial as the KMR Sport driver scored strongly in all three races while several of his closest rivals experienced more turbulent weekends.

The championship leader benefited immediately when Green and Ingram Hill collided at Maggotts on the opening lap of Race 1. While Green eventually finished 23rd and failed to score, O’Grady remained clear of the trouble and crossed the line third before Conor Grant’s track-limits penalty promoted him to second. The result allowed O’Grady to significantly increase his advantage before Sunday’s two races.

Green responded strongly in Race 2. The Elite Motorsport driver started from pole but lost the lead to Ingram Hill at Turn 1 before following the Fortec driver home in second. O’Grady finished fifth, allowing Green to recover 10 points from the deficit created during the opening race.

However, O’Grady again limited Green’s gains in the amended Race 3 classification. Green charged from 11th to fourth after Grant’s post-race disqualification, while O’Grady climbed from ninth to fifth. The championship leader therefore added another solid points haul and leaves Silverstone on 247 points, with Green second on 222.

Hilton moves into third as Hallman slips back

Hilton has moved from fourth to third after another productive weekend for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing. The British driver capitalised on Green and Ingram Hill’s opening-lap contact to win Race 1, marking his second victory in three race weekends after his Donington Park breakthrough.

He then resisted Torrin Byrne throughout Race 2 to take third and extend his run to five consecutive podium finishes. Those two results moved Hilton firmly into the championship fight before the reversed-grid finale.

However, that podium streak ended during Race 3. Hilton collided with Josh McLean while fighting for third and retired after six laps, leaving him without points from the final contest. Nevertheless, his 59-point Silverstone haul moves him from 146 to 205 points and into third, 42 behind O’Grady.

Hallman endured a more difficult round and has consequently dropped from third to fourth. A track-limits penalty relegated the Hillspeed driver from sixth to 11th in Race 1, before he finished 12th in Race 2. He started the finale alongside teammate Willis on the front row but fell to 16th in the amended classification and failed to score.

Hallman therefore leaves Silverstone on 187 points. He trails Hilton by 18 and O’Grady by 60 with three race weekends remaining.

Ingram Hill closes on Coulthard as Willis surges with maiden win

Coulthard remains fifth after adding points in all three Silverstone races. The Douglas Motorsport driver finished sixth in Race 1 and ninth in Race 2 before gaining eight positions from 14th in the reverse-grid contest to take sixth in the amended classification. His 47-point weekend moves him to 178 points.

Ingram Hill remains sixth but has dramatically reduced the gap to Coulthard. His weekend started badly when contact with Green forced him into the pits during Race 1, leaving him 27th and without points despite starting from his maiden pole position. However, the Fortec Motorsport driver responded by passing Green at the start of Race 2 and controlling the remainder of the contest to claim his maiden GB4 victory.

He then produced one of the strongest recovery drives of Race 3. Starting 12th, Ingram Hill climbed nine positions to finish third and secure a second consecutive podium. Those results lift him from 113 to 172 points, leaving him only six behind Coulthard.

Byrne remains seventh after recovering from a Race 1 retirement with fourth in Race 2 and second in Race 3. He now has 152 points, 10 ahead of Pace Performance teammate McLean, who sits eighth after finishing fourth and seventh in the opening two contests before his Race 3 retirement.

Franciszek Cegielski remains the leading Rookie and occupies ninth on 139 points after finishing seventh, sixth and 10th across the three races. Matan Achituv completes the top 10 with 132 points, while Willis has climbed from 13th to 11th after his strongest weekend of the campaign.

Willis finished eighth in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2 before leading every lap of the finale from reverse-grid pole. His maiden victory lifts him from 80 to 123 points and moves him ahead of Elite Motorsport’s Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso.

Fortec closes to within six points of Hillspeed

The Teams’ Championship has tightened considerably after Silverstone, with the leading three teams now separated by only seven points.

Hillspeed retains first place but added only 63 points across the weekend. Willis provided the team’s largest contribution through eighth in Race 1, 11th in Race 2 and his maiden victory in Race 3, while Hallman endured a more difficult round. Hillspeed has moved from 282 to 345 points.

Fortec Motorsports has produced the biggest move near the front, climbing from fourth to second. Ingram Hill’s Race 2 victory and Race 3 podium combined with Cegielski’s three points-scoring finishes to help the team collect 108 points across the weekend. Fortec now has 339, leaving it only six behind Hillspeed.

Pace Performance remains third and sits only one point behind Fortec. McLean contributed strongly in the first two races, while Byrne recovered from his opening-race retirement to finish fourth and second on Sunday. The team added 104 points at Silverstone and now holds 338.

Douglas Motorsport has consequently dropped from second to fourth despite scoring 71 points. Coulthard recorded three points finishes and Grant finished third in Race 1, but Grant did not start Race 2 before officials disqualified him from fourth place in the finale. Douglas now has 317 points, 28 behind Hillspeed.

Elite Motorsport has climbed from sixth to fifth after Green’s two strong Sunday results, along with further points from Del Grosso and Achituv. The team now holds 302 points, nine ahead of KMR Sport, which drops to sixth despite O’Grady extending his Drivers’ Championship lead.

Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing remains seventh on 269 points after Hilton’s Race 1 victory and Race 2 podium. Scorpio Motorsport follows on 148, with Arden Motorsport, Fox Motorsport and Idola Motorsport completing the order.

Championship battle shifts ahead of Snetterton

Silverstone has given O’Grady greater breathing room in the Drivers’ Championship, but the positions behind him have changed significantly.

Green remains his closest challenger, although the gap has increased from 11 to 25 points. Hilton now sits another 17 points behind Green after replacing Hallman in third, while only 27 points separate Hilton in third from Ingram Hill in sixth.

Ingram Hill and Willis also leave Silverstone with renewed momentum after claiming their maiden victories. Meanwhile, Cegielski remains firmly inside the overall top 10 while continuing to lead the Rookie contingent.

The Teams’ Championship has become even tighter. Hillspeed entered the weekend 36 points clear of Douglas Motorsport, but Fortec’s strong round has reduced the leader’s advantage to just six. Pace sits another point behind, meaning only seven points cover the leading three teams after 12 races.

GB4 returns for Round 5 at Snetterton, with the race weekend scheduled for August 15-16. With three events and nine races remaining, both championship battles remain open heading into the closing stages of the season.
