Qualifying for round 8 of the 2026 F1 season has been completed at the Austrian GP, view the full results here.
Mercedes headed into qualifying as favourites. George Russell pipped Kimi Antonelli to top spot in FP3, with Barcelona-Catalunya GP winner Lewis Hamilton right in the mix in P3. McLaren and Max Verstappen were not miles away, while Charles Leclerc needed to make a step forward.
In the midfield, Racing Bulls duo Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad were the fastest drivers, although Pierre Gasly was close behind. Audi looked to be next best, ahead of Haas.
The Williams, Cadillac and Aston drivers were the favourites to be knocked out in Q1, unless Carlos Sainz or Alex Albon could do a superb lap to make it through.
