Nikola Tsolov remains at the top of the 2026 F2 Drivers’ Championship following the Italian GP Feature Race at Monza, but Rafael Câmara emerged as his nearest challenger after an Invicta Racing one-two dramatically reduced the gap at the front.
Joshua Dürksen completed a perfect Monza double by adding Feature Race victory to his Sprint success, while Câmara finished second and Noel León completed the podium. The result moved Câmara ahead of Gabriele Minì into second in the Drivers’ standings, while Dürksen surged from 11th after Saturday to eighth.
Invicta also made a major gain in the Teams’ Championship, cutting Campos Racing’s lead from 72 points after the Sprint to 47. Further back, TRIDENT moved ahead of DAMS Lucas Oil into sixth.
Tsolov remains 2026 F2 championship leader
Tsolov entered the Feature Race with 171 points and a 24-point advantage over Minì. However, Câmara started from pole and sat only 26 points behind, giving the Brazilian an opportunity to change the championship picture considerably.
The Campos driver recovered to seventh during the race and collected six points, increasing his total to 177. Although that allowed him to extend his advantage over Minì, Câmara’s much larger score brought Invicta’s rookie significantly closer.
Tsolov therefore leaves Monza still leading the championship, but his nearest rival has changed. Instead of holding a 24-point advantage over Minì, he now leads Câmara by only 11.
That represents a substantial tightening of the title battle before F2 heads to Madrid.
Câmara jumps Minì and closes to 11 points
Câmara delivered one of the most important championship performances of the weekend by finishing second after starting from pole.
The Brazilian battled teammate Dürksen repeatedly during the opening phase and reclaimed the lead at Turn 1 before the mandatory pit-stop sequence put Dürksen back ahead. He closed again during the final laps but could not find a way past his teammate.
Second place gave Câmara 18 race points, while he also secured the point for the fastest eligible lap and two points from pole position. His Monza Feature Race contribution therefore totals 21 championship points, moving him from 145 after the Sprint to 166.
Câmara consequently climbs from third to second, moving 19 points clear of Minì and closing to within 11 of Tsolov.
Minì drops to third after scoreless Sunday
Minì endured a costly Feature Race and finished outside the points in 11th. The MP Motorsport driver therefore remains on 147 points.
That result means Minì drops from second to third in the championship for the first time after Monza’s Feature Race. More significantly, he now trails Câmara by 19 points after beginning the weekend two points ahead of the Brazilian.
Tsolov has also moved 30 points clear of Minì. Therefore, while the title fight at the front has tightened between Tsolov and Câmara, Minì has lost ground to both following a scoreless Monza weekend.
Madrid will offer the Italian an immediate opportunity to respond, but he now enters the next round requiring a significant points swing to return to the championship lead.
Dunne and León strengthen top-five positions
Dunne remains fourth after finishing sixth in the Feature Race. The Irishman collected eight points, increasing his total from 110 after the Sprint to 118.
León enjoyed an even stronger Sunday, completing the podium for Campos Racing. His 15-point haul takes him from 99 to 114, leaving him only four points behind Dunne.
The battle for fourth has therefore tightened dramatically. Dunne entered Monza 14 points ahead of León but leaves Italy with only four separating them.
Maini remains sixth on 88 points after failing to score, while Beganovic stays seventh on 79 following another point-less race.
Dürksen surges to eighth after Monza sweep
No driver made greater progress across the Monza weekend than Dürksen.
He entered the round 11th in the championship on 42 points before collecting 11 through Saturday’s Sprint victory. He then added another 25 by winning Sunday’s Feature Race, taking his weekend total to 36 points and his season total to 78.
The Invicta driver consequently climbs from 11th before Monza to eighth after the Feature Race. He sits only one point behind Beganovic in seventh and has moved ahead of Van Hoepen, Inthraphuvasak and Stenshorne.
Dürksen also completed a Monza clean sweep and equalled the record of eight career F2 victories.
Van Hoepen drops as Inthraphuvasak moves ahead of Stenshorne
Van Hoepen failed to score in the Feature Race and remains on 66 points. However, Dürksen’s victory pushes the TRIDENT driver from eighth after the Sprint to ninth overall.
Inthraphuvasak collected four points with eighth place, increasing his total from 59 to 63. The ART Grand Prix driver consequently moves ahead of Stenshorne, who remains on 62 after finishing outside the points.
Although Dürksen’s rise means Inthraphuvasak remains 10th numerically, he has improved his position relative to Stenshorne and now holds a one-point advantage over the Norwegian.
Stenshorne therefore drops from ninth after Saturday to 11th following Sunday’s race.
Miyata climbs two places after fifth
Ritomo Miyata produced one of his strongest results of the weekend by finishing fifth for Hitech.
The Japanese driver collected 10 points, increasing his championship total from 34 to 44. That moves him from 14th after Saturday’s Sprint to 12th overall.
Miyata overtakes both Villagómez and Goethe in the process. Villagómez remains on 38 after finishing outside the points, while Goethe added two points for ninth to move from 35 to 37.
However, another driver made an even larger move in this section of the standings.
Bennett climbs to 13th after another strong Monza result
Bennett followed his Sprint Race podium with fourth place in Sunday’s Feature Race.
The TRIDENT driver collected 12 points and increased his total from 26 after Saturday to 38. Having entered Monza with only 18 points, Bennett therefore scored 20 across the weekend.
He climbs from 16th after the Sprint to 13th in the final standings, level with Villagómez on 38 points but ahead in the official order.
Goethe consequently drops to 15th despite scoring, while Montoya remains 16th on 28.
Montoya originally crossed the line higher in the classification, but the Stewards handed him a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with Colton Herta. That dropped him to 18th in the final race classification, although he remained outside the points either way and his championship total therefore stayed unchanged.
Varrone claims final point
Nico Varrone secured the final championship point available by finishing 10th for Van Amersfoort Racing.
The result increases his total from 14 to 15, although he remains 19th in the standings.
Herta stays 17th on 26 after retiring from the race, while Bilinski remains 18th with 24. Boya stays on 12, with Fittipaldi and Shields level on 10 at the bottom of the standings.
Although several of those positions remain unchanged, Bennett’s and Miyata’s gains have significantly reshaped the midfield order heading into Madrid.

Tsolov leaves Monza with an 11-point lead over Câmara, down considerably from his 24-point advantage over Minì after Saturday. Meanwhile, Câmara now sits 19 points ahead of Minì, while Dunne and León are separated by only four in the battle for fourth. Dürksen is also only one point behind Beganovic after his 36-point weekend.
Campos leads despite Invicta Monza surge
Campos Racing remains at the top of the Teams’ Championship after both drivers scored in the Feature Race.
León contributed 15 points with third place, while Tsolov added six in seventh. Their combined 21-point haul increases Campos’ total from 270 after the Sprint to 291.
However, Invicta enjoyed a significantly larger gain. Dürksen earned 25 points through victory, while Câmara’s second place, fastest lap and pole contribution brought another 21.
Invicta therefore added 46 points to move from 198 to 244. As a result, Campos’ championship lead falls dramatically from 72 points after Saturday to 47 after Sunday.
MP and Rodin separated by four points
MP Motorsport retains third in the Teams’ Championship, although its advantage over Rodin Motorsport has narrowed.
Goethe supplied MP’s only two points of the Feature Race with ninth place, increasing the team’s total from 182 to 184. Minì failed to score.
Rodin collected eight points through Dunne’s sixth place, while Stenshorne failed to add to the total. That moves the team from 172 to 180.
Only four points consequently separate MP and Rodin in the fight for third, while both have lost substantial ground to Invicta following its dominant Sunday at Monza.
ART remains fifth as TRIDENT passes DAMS
ART Grand Prix added four points through Inthraphuvasak and moves from 147 to 151 points. Maini failed to score, leaving the team fifth and 29 points behind Rodin.
However, the biggest positional change further down came from TRIDENT. Bennett’s fourth place added 12 points to the team’s total, taking it from 92 to 104. Van Hoepen failed to score.
That result moves TRIDENT ahead of DAMS Lucas Oil and into sixth by a single point. DAMS failed to score with Beganovic and Bilinski and remains on 103.
After entering Monza 20 points behind DAMS, TRIDENT therefore leaves Italy one point ahead.
Hitech adds 10 as VAR scores one
Miyata supplied Hitech’s entire Feature Race score with his fifth-place finish, adding 10 points and moving the team from 60 to 70.
Van Amersfoort Racing also gained a point through Varrone’s 10th-place finish and increases its total from 52 to 53.
PREMA Racing remains on 40 after Montoya and Boya failed to score. Montoya’s post-race 10-second penalty confirmed his final classification of 18th but had no effect on PREMA’s championship total.
AIX Racing also leaves Monza scoreless and remains 11th on 20 points.

Campos remains firmly ahead, but Invicta’s 46-point Feature Race haul reduced the deficit to 47 points. The fight behind has also tightened considerably, with only four points separating MP Motorsport and Rodin for third, while TRIDENT has moved just one point ahead of DAMS in sixth.
