Joshua Dürksen won the Formula 2 (F2) Sprint Race at the 2026 Italian GP. Read the full results below.
John Bennett made a strong start from reverse-grid pole and kept the lead into Turn 1, while Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak launched from fourth to second. Dürksen also made early progress from seventh, climbing to fourth as Ritomo Miyata slipped back in the opening laps.
Inthraphuvasak then came under pressure from Oliver Goethe, which allowed Dürksen to move into third. The first Safety Car came after Rafael Câmara spun to a stop at the exit of Turn 2, wiping out Bennett’s 1.6s advantage.
When racing resumed on Lap 7, Bennett initially held off Dürksen, but the Invicta Racing driver stayed close and used DRS to pass him for the lead on Lap 9. Behind them, Inthraphuvasak lost ground after running deep at Turn 1, while Goethe moved into third with a DRS-assisted move on Martinius Stenshorne.
A late Safety Car set up a short dash to the finish, but Dürksen controlled the restart perfectly. He pulled clear of Bennett, escaped DRS range on the final lap and secured his seventh Formula 2 victory, as well as his fourth podium at Monza. Bennett finished second ahead of Goethe, with Noel León, Nikola Tsolov, Stenshorne, Alex Dunne and Laurens van Hoepen completing the top eight.
