Fred Green produced a dramatic late effort in 2026 GB4 Qualifying at Oulton Park, securing pole position for Race 1 with a 1m34.350s for Elite Motorsport. The lap, delivered with just 10 seconds remaining, edged long-time session leader Alex O’Grady by only 0.043 seconds.
Importantly, O’Grady still emerged from the session with a major reward, as his second-fastest lap earned him pole position for Race 2. As a result, both Green and O’Grady will start from the front row twice across the Oulton Park weekend.
Moreover, the session remained highly competitive despite yellow flags interrupting the rhythm of the 20-minute Qualifying run. With the top ten covered by less than one second, small gains proved decisive across both classifications.
2026 GB4: Oulton Park: Qualifying 1: Green denies O’Grady with final flyer
The opening classification was shaped by a tense battle between Green and O’Grady. O’Grady had led for much of the second half of the session with a 1m34.393s, appearing set to secure pole after establishing himself as the driver to beat.
However, Green continued to chip away at the deficit. First, he narrowed the margin to 0.050 seconds, then reduced it further to 0.022 seconds before finally jumping to the top with his final lap.
Consequently, Green secured his third pole position of the 2026 GB4 season. O’Grady had to settle for second, although his strong pace throughout Qualifying ensured he remained firmly in contention for both races.
Meanwhile, Enzo Hallman moved up to third for Hillspeed with his own late improvement. He finished 0.159 seconds away from pole and ahead of Silverstone double pole-sitter Luke Hilton, who placed fourth for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing.
However, Hilton will drop to ninth on the Race 1 grid due to a five-place penalty carried over from Silverstone. Therefore, Thomas Ingram Hill, Matan Achituv, Torrin Byrne, Franciszek Cegielski and Connor Willis are all set to gain one place on the final Race 1 grid.

2026 GB4: Oulton Park: Qualifying 2: O’Grady secures Race 2 pole
The Race 2 grid, decided by each driver’s second-fastest lap, gave O’Grady the advantage. His 1m34.400s proved enough to secure pole position, with Green just 0.015 seconds behind.
As a result, O’Grady will start Race 2 from the best possible position after narrowly missing out on Race 1 pole. Green, meanwhile, remains on the front row, underlining his consistency across both Qualifying measures.
Behind the leading pair, Hallman completed the top three once again for Hillspeed. Ingram Hill improved to fourth on the Race 2 classification, while Achituv continued a strong session by taking fifth for Elite Motorsport.
Furthermore, Hilton placed sixth on second-fastest times, ahead of Cegielski, Willis, Byrne and Del Grosso. The repeated presence of the same names inside the top ten highlights the consistency of the leading group across both runs.

Green and O’Grady set up front-row duel at Oulton Park
Green’s last-gasp pole marked a major statement as he continued his strong start to the 2026 GB4 campaign. However, O’Grady’s pace throughout the session ensures the battle at the front remains finely balanced.
Hallman also confirmed himself as a consistent threat, securing third in both classifications. Meanwhile, Achituv and Byrne enjoyed standout Qualifying performances, with Byrne breaking into the top ten for the first time this season.
As a result, the opening race at Oulton Park promises a competitive fight from the front row backwards. Green has track position for Race 1, but O’Grady’s consistency, Hilton’s recovery task and the tightly packed top ten all suggest another unpredictable GB4 contest.
