2026 | GB4 | Standings after Round 6 at Donington Park

Alex O’Grady remains at the top of the 2026 GB4 Drivers’ Championship after Round 6 at Donington Park, but Fred Green significantly reduced the KMR Sport driver’s advantage ahead of the season finale.

O’Grady arrived at Donington with a 70-point lead after his highly successful Snetterton round, where he won twice while Green suffered two retirements. However, Green responded with victory and second place across the opening two Donington races, while O’Grady finished second and sixth. After both finished towards the lower end of the top 10 in Race 3, O’Grady’s advantage fell to 49 points.

Dayton Coulthard retains third and remains mathematically involved in the championship, while Enzo Hallman has moved ahead of Thomas Ingram Hill into fourth. Torrin Byrne and Josh McLean have both passed the absent Luke Hilton, while Elite Motorsport has transformed the Teams’ Championship by jumping from fifth to first after scoring 148 points across the weekend.

Green cuts O’Grady’s championship advantage to 49 points

O’Grady entered Donington on 321 points after taking two victories at Snetterton, while Green sat second on 251. Their 70-point separation gave O’Grady an opportunity to potentially settle the championship before Brands Hatch, but Green instead produced his strongest weekend since the opening stages of the season.

The Elite Motorsport driver qualified alongside stand-in teammate Yani Stevenheydens for both opening races after the Belgian claimed a double pole position. Green immediately capitalised in Race 1 when Stevenheydens made a slow start, taking the lead before Redgate and eventually beating O’Grady by 0.774s.

Green followed that victory with second behind Stevenheydens in Race 2, while O’Grady could manage only sixth. The result cut another sizeable portion from the championship margin before the reverse-grid finale. Green then finished ninth in Race 3, one place ahead of O’Grady, as Josh McLean took victory.

Green scored 73 points across the weekend to move from 251 to 324. O’Grady added 52 and now has 373, reducing his championship lead from 70 to 49 points with 102 still available at Brands Hatch. Five drivers consequently retain a mathematical chance of winning the title.

Coulthard retains third as Hallman moves ahead of Ingram Hill

Coulthard remains third after another consistent weekend for Douglas Motorsport. He finished fifth in Race 1, seventh in Race 2 and fourth in the reversed-grid finale, adding 49 points to his pre-event total of 241. He therefore heads to Brands Hatch on 290 points, 83 behind O’Grady.

Although that deficit leaves Coulthard requiring a significant swing during the final three races, he remains mathematically capable of taking the championship. The 17-year-old also carries a nine-race run of top-10 finishes into Brands Hatch, the longest active streak in the field.

Hallman has moved from fifth to fourth after matching Coulthard’s 49-point weekend haul. Fourth in Race 1 and third in Race 2 supplied the majority of his points before he finished 12th in Race 3. His total rises from 232 to 281, leaving him nine points behind Coulthard and 92 away from the championship lead.

Ingram Hill slips from fourth to fifth despite scoring in all three races. Sixth, fifth and eighth added 44 points to his total, taking him from 233 to 277. He trails Hallman by only four points and Coulthard by 13, leaving the fight for third extremely close even if his own championship chances remain remote.

Byrne and McLean move ahead of Hilton

Pace Performance’s Byrne and McLean both gained positions in the championship as Luke Hilton remained on the 205 points he held after Snetterton.

Byrne collected points in the opening two races, finishing eighth in Race 1 before climbing to fourth in Race 2. His weekend ended prematurely in Race 3 when he dropped out from sixth before the second Safety Car. Nevertheless, his 34-point haul takes him from 198 to 232 and moves him from seventh to sixth in the championship.

McLean follows his teammate in seventh after another reverse-grid victory. Seventh in the opener brought useful points, but his Race 2 ended after seven laps. He responded by converting pole into victory in the finale, controlling the race through two Safety Car periods to take his fourth win of the season.

The victory increased McLean’s total from 185 to 220, moving him above Hilton and reducing his deficit to Byrne to 12 points. Hilton falls from sixth to eighth on 205 after missing the Donington weekend.

Cegielski and Willis move into the top 10

Franciszek Cegielski remains the highest-placed Rookie and climbs from 10th to ninth despite a relatively difficult opening race. The Fortec Motorsport driver finished 15th in Race 1 before improving to 10th in Race 2 and seventh in Race 3, adding 26 points and moving from 167 to 193.

Connor Willis makes the largest positional improvement immediately behind him. The Hillspeed driver finished 10th in Race 1, eighth in Race 2 and fifth in Race 3, giving him a 35-point weekend and moving him from 146 to 181. He consequently climbs from 12th to 10th in the championship.

Matan Achituv sits only one point behind Willis on 180. The Elite Motorsport driver added 18 points during the round and remains 11th, while teammate Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso drops from ninth to 12th after missing Donington through injury. Stevenheydens substituted for the Venezuelan and scored 75 points during his debut weekend, but those points count towards Stevenheydens’ own Drivers’ Championship total rather than Del Grosso’s.

Grant and O’Donnell strengthen positions behind top 12

Conor Grant remains 13th but significantly increases his points total after a strong conclusion to the weekend. Ninth in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2 preceded his best result of the event, with the Douglas Motorsport rookie launching from fourth to second in Race 3. His 41-point weekend moves him from 109 to 150.

John O’Donnell likewise remains 14th but closes substantially on Grant. The Pace Performance driver finished 11th and ninth in the opening two races before securing his maiden GB4 podium with third in Race 3. His total increases from 103 to 140, leaving only 10 points between him and Grant.

Romuald Bocquet remains 15th on 114, while Michael Koh retains 16th on 100. Archie Davies follows on 90, with Jordyn Martin moving ahead of inactive Douglas Motorsport driver Jason Smyth and Demitri Nolan also climbing above him. Martin now has 85 points, Nolan 84 and Smyth remains on 81.

Stevenheydens slots directly behind them in 21st after scoring 75 points during his only GB4 event so far. His Donington weekend included both pole positions, third in Race 1, victory in Race 2 and sixth from the reversed grid in Race 3.

Five drivers remain mathematically capable of taking the championship at Brands Hatch. O’Grady leads Green by 49 points, Coulthard by 83, Hallman by 92 and Ingram Hill by 96, with a maximum of 102 available from the final three races.

Elite jumps from fifth to first in Teams’ Championship

The largest championship swing at Donington came in the Teams’ standings, where Elite Motorsport transformed a 35-point deficit into a 17-point advantage.

Elite entered Round 6 fifth on 399 points. Green and Stevenheydens then combined to give the team an exceptional weekend, with Green winning Race 1 before Stevenheydens took Race 2. Across the three races, Elite scored 59, 64 and 25 Teams’ Championship points respectively, adding 148 to reach 547.

That haul moves Elite from fifth to first, displacing Pace Performance. It represents a particularly significant recovery after Elite lost all of its Teams’ Championship points from the opening Silverstone round following a testing-rule breach earlier in the season. The drivers retained their individual points from that event, but the team was disqualified from the event for Teams’ Championship purposes.

Pace remains close as Hillspeed and Douglas move forward

Pace Performance loses the championship lead despite another productive weekend. Byrne, McLean and O’Donnell combined for 96 points across the three races, taking the team from 434 to 530. McLean’s Race 3 victory and O’Donnell’s maiden podium provided the strongest results, while Byrne scored well in the opening two contests.

The team therefore drops to second but sits only 17 points behind Elite heading into the finale.

Hillspeed moves from third on 418 to 502 points and retains third place in the standings. Hallman’s Race 2 podium combined with regular contributions from Willis, while Nolan also added points during the weekend. The team trails Elite by 45 points but sits only one ahead of Douglas Motorsport.

Douglas rises from 411 to 501 after adding 90 points. Coulthard scored in all three races, while Grant’s second place in the finale provided another major contribution. The result leaves Douglas only one point behind Hillspeed and three ahead of Fortec Motorsport.

Fortec drops to fifth despite another 70 points

Fortec Motorsport started Donington second in the Teams’ Championship on 428 points but slips to fifth despite adding another 70. Ingram Hill and Cegielski both scored throughout the weekend, while Martin contributed further points, but the team could not match the larger totals produced by Elite, Pace, Hillspeed and Douglas.

Fortec now has 498 points, meaning only four points separate Hillspeed in third, Douglas in fourth and Fortec in fifth. The leading five teams are separated by just 49 points before Brands Hatch.

KMR Sport remains sixth after moving from 392 to 447. O’Grady again provided most of the team’s points, while Lily-May Watkins and Holly Miall contributed further down the order.

Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing stays seventh on 298, with Scorpio Motorsport eighth on 210. Fox Motorsport moves ahead of Arden Motorsport into ninth after reaching 157 points, while Arden follows only one point behind on 156. Idola Motorsport remains 11th on nine.

Elite therefore heads to Brands Hatch with a 17-point advantage over Pace Performance. Behind them, the fight is even closer, with only four points separating Hillspeed, Douglas and Fortec from third through fifth.

Five drivers remain in title contention heading to Brands Hatch

Donington prevented O’Grady from wrapping up the championship early and substantially tightened the contest before the final round. His 70-point lead has fallen to 49 after Green outscored him 73-52, giving the Elite Motorsport driver a significantly stronger opportunity heading into the final three races.

Coulthard remains an outsider at 83 points behind, while Hallman and Ingram Hill are 92 and 96 adrift respectively. All five remain mathematically eligible for the championship because 102 points remain available, although O’Grady retains a substantial advantage and can secure the title by scoring 54 points across the Brands Hatch weekend regardless of his rivals’ results.

The battle behind the championship leader also remains extremely close. Only 13 points separate Coulthard, Hallman and Ingram Hill in the fight for third, while Byrne has opened a 12-point advantage over teammate McLean for sixth. Cegielski, Willis and Achituv are separated by only 13 points from ninth to 11th.

The Teams’ Championship carries similar uncertainty. Elite’s outstanding Donington round has taken it from fifth to first, but Pace remains only 17 points behind, while Hillspeed, Douglas and Fortec remain tightly grouped behind the leading pair.

GB4 concludes its 2026 season at Brands Hatch on September 26-27, where the final three races will decide both championships.
