Heading into Qualifying, Will Power set the fastest time during Practice 1, while his teammate Kyle Kirkwood went fastest during Practice 2.
The Fast 6 Qualifying session saw the debut of IndyCar’s new single-lap shootout format. Teams had the choice of qualifying order based on their Fast 12 results. This format will be used across street tracks for the remainder of the season.
