Kyle Kirkwood fires away from the pole after going unanswered during qualifying. Oval specialist Josef Newgarden slots into second, hungry for another Nashville race win in his own backyard. Scott McLaughlin, championship leader Alex Palou, and Scott Dixon round out the rest of the top 5. David Malukas was fastest in the final practice around the Nashville Superspeedway, following a huge shunt in the weekend’s opening session.
Following a lengthy weather delay, the 12th race of the 2026 season was postponed until Monday, July 20th. Additionally, due to a heat advisory, the race was reduced from the original 300 laps to 225 laps.
After a caution-speckled Nashville race, Alex Palou reigns in the Music City and takes home his fifth win of 2026! Josef Newgarden comes home 2nd, and David Malukas goes from last on the grid to slot into the final podium position.
