ARC Bratislava and Mühlner Motorsport feature among the first teams confirmed for the 2027 Michelin 24H Kyalami, as preparations continue for CREVENTIC’s relocated headline endurance event.
The 24-hour race will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa from 8–10 January after organisers moved the traditional 24H Dubai to Kyalami amid continuing uncertainty in the Gulf region. The change takes the Michelin 24H Series to Africa for the first time and brings international endurance racing back to Kyalami for the first time since 2023.
ARC Bratislava became the first team confirmed for the event, while Into Africa Racing and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport will add further GT3 machinery. Mühlner Motorsport and Seblajoux Racing will debut the latest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the 992 category, while Vortex and asBest Racing have also committed to the January event.
ARC Bratislava leads first GT3 entries
ARC Bratislava became the first confirmed entrant for the Michelin 24H Kyalami, with the Slovakian team set to field a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO.
The team brings considerable CREVENTIC experience to South Africa. Alongside regular appearances in championships including the Asian Le Mans Series, ARC Bratislava has made numerous starts in the 24H Series and most recently contested two rounds of the 24H European Series. Its campaign included a class victory at the season-opening Mugello round earlier in 2026.
Team owner Miroslav Konopka regularly shares driving duties with his sons Adam and Matej, giving the programme a strong family element. ARC last contested the 24H Dubai in 2022, meaning the Kyalami event will mark its return to CREVENTIC’s headline January endurance race after several years away.
The Lamborghini will not stand alone in the GT3 field. South African team Into Africa Racing also plans to compete with a Huracán GT3 EVO2, giving the manufacturer at least two representatives among the early entries.
Into Africa Racing returns to familiar Kyalami surroundings
Into Africa Racing brings both international experience and strong local pedigree to the event. Businessman and racing driver Xolile Letlaka founded the team with the aim of making motorsport in Africa more inclusive and accessible, while its competition programme has expanded across both domestic and international racing.
The squad most recently competed in the International GT Open with a Ferrari 296 GT3 in collaboration with Dubai-based Dragon Racing. It has also contested the previous two editions of the 24H Dubai with the Ferrari, recording a best overall finish of 14th.
Kyalami, however, has proved particularly successful territory for the South African operation. Into Africa Racing won the previous two editions of the Kyalami 9 Hours, an event that formed part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge until 2023. Its return to the circuit with Lamborghini machinery therefore gives the home team an opportunity to extend an already successful record at the venue.
Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport has also confirmed a GT3 entry. The reigning GT3-Am winner of the 24H Series Middle East Trophy will take an Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II to Kyalami as it targets another strong result in CREVENTIC competition.
Mühlner Motorsport to debut new Porsche Cup car
Mühlner Motorsport became the first team announced for the 992 category and will use the Kyalami race to debut its new Type-992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
The appearance comes as CREVENTIC prepares to transition the 992 class to Porsche’s latest Cup machinery for the 2027 season. Mühlner will therefore give its new car its first competitive outing during one of the longest and most demanding races on the calendar, while the Belgian team will also introduce an updated livery alongside the new machinery.
Mühlner enters the event with considerable momentum after securing both victory and the championship during the 2026 Michelin 24H Barcelona finale. Martin Rump, Joshua Bednarski and Conrad Tox Leveau took the class win after late drama for RPM Racing, completing Mühlner’s comeback to secure the final championship for the outgoing 992.1-generation Porsche.
French team Seblajoux Racing will join Mühlner in debuting the newest Porsche Cup car. Its participation adds another Type-992.2 entry to a category beginning a significant machinery transition in 2027.
Vortex and asBest Racing join growing field
Vortex has also confirmed its place on the grid following a successful 2026 European campaign. The French manufacturer will take its distinctive Vortex V8 to South Africa after securing GTX class honours in the 24H European Series.
The Kyalami event will give the team an opportunity to carry that momentum into the new season at a venue that presents a very different challenge from the European circuits on which it built its championship-winning campaign.
asBest Racing became the first confirmed TCE-category entrant. The German team has accumulated more 24H Series appearances than any other squad in recent years and will make its first trip to Kyalami with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Its confirmation gives the early entry list representation beyond the GT3, 992 and GTX categories and underlines the multi-class format that has become a defining feature of CREVENTIC’s endurance events.
CREVENTIC prepares for new chapter at Kyalami
The move to South Africa represents a significant change for CREVENTIC after two decades of staging its headline January event at the Dubai Autodrome. The official 24H Series announcement confirmed that Kyalami would take over the 8–10 January date, giving the organisation an opportunity to stage its first race on the African continent.
Preparations extend beyond the sporting side. CREVENTIC has appointed BLS as the local commercial and spectator partner for the inaugural event, drawing on the South African agency’s experience at Kyalami as organisers prepare for the arrival of international teams and spectators.
The organisation has also opened ticket sales for the Michelin 24H Kyalami, with Fan Village and Grandstand options among those available as preparations gather pace for January.
The first confirmed entries already provide an indication of the variety expected on the grid. ARC Bratislava and Into Africa Racing bring Lamborghini GT3 machinery, Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport adds Audi representation, while Mühlner Motorsport and Seblajoux Racing will showcase Porsche’s newest Cup car. Vortex and asBest Racing broaden the field further across the GTX and TCE categories.
With further entries still to come, the Michelin 24H Kyalami is beginning to take shape as a new chapter for both CREVENTIC and the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. The event will run from 8–10 January 2027, bringing a full 24-hour international endurance race to South Africa for the first time.
