The Italian F4 Championship will return to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in 2027 as part of a seven-round calendar revealed alongside the three-event E4 Championship schedule.
Italian F4 will retain its established seven-round structure for its 14th season, with six events in Italy before the championship concludes in Spain. Misano will host two rounds during the campaign, while Vallelunga, Mugello, Imola and Monza retain places on the schedule.
The E4 Championship will again feature three rounds but will begin considerably earlier than in recent seasons. Imola hosts the opener in May before visits to Paul Ricard and Mugello complete the campaign. Both calendars remain provisional and could change due to organisational requirements.
Misano opens Italian F4 season for fourth consecutive year
The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will once again stage the opening Italian F4 round, continuing a tradition that began in 2024.
Round 1 takes place on the weekend of 9 May before the championship travels to the Autodromo Piero Taruffi at Vallelunga on 27 June. The first half of the season concludes one month later when Mugello hosts Round 3 on 25 July.
Misano then becomes the only circuit to host Italian F4 twice during 2027. The championship returns to the Adriatic venue on 8 August for Round 4, beginning the second half of the campaign only three months after the season opener.
After Misano, the schedule moves into a concentrated final run across September and October.
Imola hosts Round 5 on 12 September before Monza stages the penultimate event on 26 September. Those two rounds come only two weeks apart and should play an important role in shaping the championship battle before the field leaves Italy for the finale.
Barcelona returns for 2027 finale
The most notable change comes at the end of the season, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya returning to the Italian F4 calendar.
Barcelona will host Round 7 on the weekend of 10 October, bringing the championship back outside Italy for its decisive event. The Montmeló circuit replaces the all-Italian conclusion used in recent seasons and gives drivers another opportunity to compete at a current Formula 1 venue.
Its inclusion also means Italian F4 will visit three Grand Prix circuits during the final three rounds, moving from Imola to Monza before concluding at Barcelona.

E4 Championship moves to earlier start
ACI Sport has also confirmed a three-round E4 Championship for 2027, maintaining the compact format used by the series while moving the opening event significantly earlier in the year.
Rather than beginning during the second half of the European season, E4 will get underway at Imola on 30 May, only three weeks after the opening Italian F4 event at Misano.
The championship then travels outside Italy for its second round at Circuit Paul Ricard on 18 July. The French venue will stage the middle event before a lengthy break ahead of the season finale.
Mugello hosts the third and final round on 31 October, three weeks after the Italian F4 campaign concludes at Barcelona.
The arrangement gives teams competing in both championships a combined 10-event programme stretching from early May until the end of October.

Early calendar publication aimed at improving preparation
ACI Sport published both provisional calendars during the 2026 ACI Racing Weekend summer break, providing teams and drivers with considerable advance notice before the start of the following season.
ACI Sport General Manager Mario Isola highlighted the importance of allowing everyone involved in the championships to plan ahead.
“Allowing teams, drivers, manufacturers, partners, circuits and all stakeholders in the sector to plan their activities well in advance means creating the conditions for an even more efficient and competitive season. This represents a concrete step in the direction we want to take in the evolution of the entire ACI Racing Weekend project.”
The early announcement gives teams competing across both championships additional time to organise testing, staffing and logistical programmes, particularly with the Italian F4 calendar including its Barcelona finale and E4 visiting Paul Ricard.
Both schedules remain provisional, meaning ACI Sport can make changes before the 2027 season begins. However, the seven-plus-three round structure is already set to continue, with Italian F4 retaining its full championship format and E4 complementing it with three additional events.
