Ollie Bearman finished P12 at the 2026 F1 Singapore GP for Haas, unable to hold onto the points positions he briefly threatened in the opening laps. He engaged in a prolonged battle with teammate Esteban Ocon before clearing him around the outside at Turn 7. Bearman spoke in the print media pen after the race.

Bearman was blunt in his summary. The opening laps were entertaining as he overtook Ocon and Sainz, but the rest of the afternoon offered little once Russell and Hadjar came through.
He had fun early but was clear about what the race became once the dust settled.
“Boring and fruitless. Yeah, I gave it my best shot, had a bit of fun out there, that was good. And then after that it was just a bit of a stale race with no possibilities to do anything,” Bearman stated.
Bearman on his battle with Ocon at the Singapore GP
Ocon will leave Haas at the end of the 2026 season, with Rafael Câmara set to replace him for 2027. Bearman was asked to walk through their duel, which ran across multiple corners over several laps.
“Yeah, it was really fun to be honest. We had a good few corners, it started in 14 where I sent one up the inside, but Esteban held it well. And then we were side-by-side through the last part of the lap. Turn 1 as well, and he got me back. And then into 7 in another battle. So it was really cool, I really enjoyed it.”
It was a fitting battle between two teammates at the 2026 F1 Singapore GP, given it may be one of their last chances to race each other. Bearman made clear how much he has valued having Ocon alongside him and the battle they had.
“Very hard racing, but good and clean as well. It’s nice, it’s fun to have those types of battles and I’ll definitely miss that type of thing. It’s been really nice to have Esteban in the team, knowing you can go wheel-to-wheel with someone like that. With his experience and knowledge, [knowing] it’s going to be clean, it’s a really good thing.”
Bearman on Haas’ pace throughout the weekend
Bearman was asked about Haas’ pace at the 2026 F1 Singapore GP. He was measured about what the result actually reflected in terms of pure speed.
With Audi outscoring them, the fight for P7 in the Constructors’ Championship is extremely intense.
“No, the pace was the same today, if not better than yesterday. It’s just I got lucky yesterday. If we finished where we should have yesterday, then I would walk away with zero points. I’m happy to get points on a weekend like this. We definitely didn’t deserve them in terms of pure speed. We can be happy that we at least have something to show for this weekend.”
