Nick Cassidy is set to leave Jaguar TCS Racing after the London E-Prix, marking it his last double-header in the black and gold car, after winning multiple races with the team. Though not being with the Jaguar team any more after season 11, Cassidy could possibly move to another team for the 2025/26 season.

Cassidy leaving Jaguar TCS Racing after two successful seasons

The team has confirmed that the Kiwi will leave them at the end of the 2024/25 Formula E World Championship. Leaving in agreement with the team, Cassidy had 176-points in season 10. The highlights were two wins, six podiums, five fastest laps and a pole position. Cassidy’s points helped Jaguar TCS Racing to win the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ Championship. It was their first World Championship as a manufacturer since 1991.

In total, Cassidy has scored multiple wins and podiums for the team. Totalling up to 278 points in Jaguar colours, with still two races left in the season.

“It’s the right” decision to leave Jaguar TCS Racing

Cassidy deemed the decision to leave Jaguar TCS Racing as a hard one, “but ultimately, it’s the right one for [him] personally.” Thanking the team for their support since he joined at the beginning of Season 10, he added that they have “made some amazing memories” on his side of the garage. While looking ahead to the London E-Prix, Cassidy is set to fight for a top three finish in the Drivers’ World Championship. As he currently sits in P5 with 102 points, 10 points away from P3.

“The decision to leave Jaguar TCS Racing has not been an easy one, but ultimately, it is the right one for me personally. I’d like to thank everyone at the team for their support since I joined at the beginning of Season 10.”

“We have fought hard and had some great success together. I particularly want to thank the engineers and mechanics on the #37 side of the garage – we’ve made some amazing memories! Looking ahead to London this weekend, we’ll work as hard as ever as a team to ensure we’re competitive and fighting for another top three finish in the Drivers’ World Championship.”

Barclay hopes for a high at the season final in London

Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal, James Barclay, described Cassidy as “an exceptional racing driver.” Adding, that he “impressed” the team and everyone involved with Jaguar TCS Racing. As Cassidy played a key role in the success of Jaguar TCS racing, supporting the team throughout his time with them. While they fight for a good finish after the London E-Prix, Barclay thanked Cassidy for his work during his time at Jaguar TCS Racing. Hoping to “still be fighting as hard as ever” during the Formula E London E-Prix.

“Nick is an exceptional racing driver and a very astute competitor, as the world can see from his performances. He has impressed everyone in the team with his unwavering dedication to win, and I’m proud of the role he’s played in our team success.”
