Conor Grant will step up to the GB4 Championship in 2026 with Douglas Motorsport, marking his first season of single-seater racing in the UK. The 18-year-old from County Wexford continues his international progression after building experience across karting, Europe, and the United States.
Douglas Motorsport strengthens its 2026 line-up with Grant following a solid debut GB4 campaign in 2025. As a result, the team continues to expand its presence on the grid while supporting a driver entering a crucial stage of development.
Strong karting foundation and international experience
Grant began his racing journey on quad bikes on Irish beaches before moving into professional karting in 2017. From there, he quickly established himself as a front-running competitor in national championships.
He claimed the 2022 TKC National Junior Championship in Cork before winning the Motorsport Ireland Senior X30 Championship in 2023. That season, he secured nine race victories and 12 pole positions, which highlighted his raw pace and consistency.
He then expanded his career into European competition in 2024, contesting the IAME X30 Euro Series and IAME Benelux Series. In parallel, he gained his first single-seater experience in the FEED F4 Academy in France, where he reached the semi-finals against more experienced drivers.
Growing single-seater resume across F4 platforms
Grant continued his progression in 2024 with his F4 race debut at the United States Grand Prix support event in the Ligier JS F4 Series at Circuit of the Americas. He finished inside the top six in front of the Formula 1 paddock, which marked a strong introduction to the category.
He then added further experience in the US F4 Championship at the start of 2025. Notably, he secured a fifth-place finish at NOLA Motorsports Park, reinforcing his ability to compete in a new environment.
As a result, Grant arrives in GB4 with a broad range of international experience despite this being his first UK-based single-seater campaign.
Confidence builds ahead of GB4 debut
Grant has already completed successful testing with Douglas Motorsport, which helped confirm his step into GB4 for 2026. He now prepares to translate that preparation into competitive race results with a team that made an immediate impression in its debut GB4 season.
He has expressed clear excitement about the opportunity and confidence in the partnership: “GB4 has been on my radar for a long time so following some very successful testing I am delighted to have secured my seat with Douglas Motorsport for the 2026 season. It is a team with real pedigree, and I am ready to make the most of the opportunity. I’m excited for what we can achieve together”
Douglas Motorsport has also welcomed Grant into its GB4 programme and highlighted his potential following early testing sessions.
“We are pleased to welcome Conor Grant to Douglas Motorsport for the 2026 GB4 Championship. Conor has shown speed during testing and we look forward to supporting him during his first year of single seaters in the UK.”
Grant now enters GB4 with a strong mix of karting success, international F4 experience, and growing single-seater maturity. Consequently, he arrives as an intriguing newcomer in the 2026 field.
If he adapts quickly to UK circuits and continues his upward trajectory, he could establish himself as one of the standout debutants of the season.
