Andretti Global have confirmed that Marcus Ericsson will remain with the team into the 2027 IndyCar season. With Will Power and Kyle Kirkwood also on-board for the next campaign, the driving pool remains the same heading into the final year with the DW12 chassis.
Into his third year at the team since leaving CGR, 2026 has been by far the best one for Marcus Ericsson in terms of speed and results. He took his first IndyCar pole at Arlington, taking the flag in P4 as Andretti bagged a 1-3-4 on race day back in mid-March.
The winner of the 2022 Indy 500 delivered a standout drive at Gateway. Coming from outside the top 10 on the grid, he delivered incredible pace to take the chequered flag in 2nd, just falling short against oval master Josef Newgarden. Six top 10s in twelve rounds has seen the Swede take a step forward compared to his tough 2024 and 2025 campaigns with Andretti.
With a 2027 Andretti contract in his pocket, the 35-year-old will be targeting a win and staying in the top 10 in points to finish off 2026.
