Hitech TGR’s Team Manager Clive Hatton looked back on the team’s 2025 F2 season with great pride, hailing it as a landmark season for the Silverstone-based outfit. Led by Luke Browning and Dino Beganovic, Hitech claimed two victories and eleven podiums, finishing 2nd in the Teams’ Championship — their best-ever result in F2, just 38 points shy of winners Invicta Racing.
Reflecting on the season, Hatton said: “It’s definitely been our strongest year in F2.”
“Coming in second is nice and it was quite close the whole way through the year, but hopefully we can carry that momentum into 2026 as well.”
A successful year with Browning
Hitech fielded two rookies in 2025, both of whom impressed in their debut F2 campaigns. For Browning, it marked a continuation with a team he has trusted throughout much of his single-seater career. The Williams Junior’s season-long consistency brought him into the championship fight. But ultimately, a late-season dip in performance saw his title hopes slip away. Nonetheless, finishing 4th in the Drivers’ Standings with eight podiums and a victory was an achievement not to be underestimated.
“It’s one of those things. We had two strong weekends in Monza and Baku, and it got close. It’s in the back of everyone’s minds but you still need to focus on the weekends ahead. A lot of things can happen, but you just take it as it comes.”
“It’s been a long journey with him [Browning]. I’m sure he’s learned a lot with us! It’s been great to work with him and having him part of Hitech and we’re all excited to see how he gets on with his future career.”
“But anything can happen. A Safety Car at the wrong time for example and your weekend is flipped.”
However, Hitech’s run to 2nd in the championship was far from a one-man effort. While Beganovic delivered several standout weekends, a lack of consistency saw him trail Browning for most of the season. A difficult first-half of the year proved costly for the Swede, but a victory, three podiums and eleven points-scoring outings were enough for him to finish 7th in the Drivers’ Standings.
In 2026, Beganovic would be hoping for more. The Ferrari-backed driver will return to the F2 grid in 2026 with DAMS Lucas Oil, partnering F3 graduate Roman Bilinski.
Hatton welcomes Miyata and Herta to the team
While the 2025 proved successful for Hitech, attention now turns to 2026 as the team prepares for a new season. The Silverstone-based team welcomes Ritomo Miyata alongside a high-profile signing: Colton Herta. Since Herta’s bombshell announcement, pressure has mounted on the IndyCar race-winner to produce a campaign strong enough to secure the Super Licence points he’s missing.
Looking ahead to 2026, Hatton shared: “We’re excited to start working with them both. Ritomo has done two seasons already, so he’ll bring a good bit of experience, and we’re excited to see how he goes in our car.”
“Colton – a lot will be new to him. It’s been a while since he’s raced in Europe and outside of American tracks but I’m sure he’ll get the hang of it pretty quick, and we’re excited to see how he’ll get on.”
