Returning to the F3 grid in 2026, Rodin Motorsport’s Christian Ho aims for a more consistent season with his new team. After spending his rookie year with DAMS Lucas Oil, the Singaporean joins Rodin Motorsport for the first time and reflected on his experience with the team so far. He said: “It feels good, obviously, it’s a different environment. I’m based in the UK, and Rodin is in the UK as well, so it’s much easier for me to commute to the workshop, so I can get to work.”

“I think that is the most important thing, especially ahead of next season, so that I can learn from the mistakes I made this year and also to prep for next year as well. I am definitely looking to fix those mistakes that we had and to refine everything.”

Reflecting on his rookie F3 campaign

“Obviously, this year was not the best season for us as a team, not only for me,” said Ho.

The 19-year-old ended the 2025 season 22nd in the Drivers’ Standings, scoring 17 points. Despite struggling for pace throughout much of the year, Ho delivered several standout performances, notably at Bahrain, Silverstone and Imola. Reflecting on his season, he admitted that mistakes and unfamiliarity with many tracks hindered his performance.

“There were some good points, like Silverstone and Bahrain, and like here in Imola actually. I feel like if I just take the good moments, in Bahrain we had good one lap pace, and Silverstone where I was strong in the wet, and we maximised what we had in the weekend.”

“I feel like there were a lot of mistakes I made last year [2025 season], and the fact that I didn’t know many of the tracks coming into the year did not help. Coming to Imola, with no experience of the track, Monza, not having experience of the track, and a lot more tracks, it did not really help at all.”

Experience with DAMS

Stepping up from Eurocup-3 to F3 with a debuting team, Ho faced a steep learning curve alongside DAMS as they navigated their first season together in the series. The Singaporean acknowledged that while his results weren’t always strong, the gaps in F3 are incredibly tight. For 2026, he emphasised the importance of gaining more track experience and improving preparation for the circuits he’s struggled at this year.

“That’s what I discussed with DAMS as well, the performances were not the best, but the margins are so small in the Championship. Like in Hungary, where there was not a lot between me in P24 and P12, and it was my first time there in FP.”

“So it’s just getting more experience on the tracks I don’t know, the tracks that I struggled at, and just putting better prep in for next year.”

Although their journey comes to an end after a year, Ho looked back on his time with the team positively, noting parallels between all the teams he’s raced with in his single-seater career: “I think it’s always different, it’s a different experience, I enjoyed working with DAMS to be honest, they were very professional. With Campos it was nice in Spanish F4 and Eurocup, it was very family like. My engineer now is from Campos as well. It’s a very similar vibe for me here, not only my engineer, but the entire team, I think we work really well together.”

“My first impressions are already really nice. It’s nice to have some laughs in the garage, it’s good vibes, and I am sure next year will be a good year as long as we put everything together.”

Goal for 2026 is consistency

Looking ahead to his second F3 season in 2026, Ho aims to focus on consistency and shared that it’ll be his main goal for next year. Ho said: “Last year my goal for this year was to be consistent, I wanted to always be up there because I know this championship is all about consistency. My target was to be in the top 10 every race, which obviously didn’t happen.”

“But for the start of next year, I want it to be like that, we qualify in the top 12 consistently, and get good points every single race.”

“But in the middle part of the year, we should begin to put everything together. We should try to fight for the podiums, which in this championship is what you need, momentum. That’s what I want to get at the start of the year and try to build from that.”

With a year of experience now under his belt, Ho enters 2026 aiming for improved results and greater consistency throughout the year. At Rodin, he will team up with Brando Badoer and rookie Pedro Clerot, who graduates from the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA). The 2024 Eurocup-3 Champion will be one to watch as he looks to make his mark in F3.
