Qualifying for round 7 of the 2025 Indy NXT season at Road America is in the books, view the full report and results below.

Caio Collet led the way in second practice on Saturday morning from Dennis Hauger. Unsurprisingly the Brazilian driver picked Group 2 to have the best of the track conditions.

Group 1

Hauger, Hedge, Pierson, Papasavvas, Roe, Koolen, Missig, Allaer and Miller ran in this group.

Papasavvas ran P1 early doors as he did a 1:55.100, two hundredths ahead of Pierson and six hundredths faster than Hedge.

After Pierson went P1 on a 1:53.553, Dennis Hauger smashed that by 0.7s to put a big gap into the field with 10 minutes left. Miller, Hedge and Missig completed the top 5.

On his next lap, the Norwegian smashed in a 1:52.330, beating Collet’s benchmark from FP2. Pierson lowered his own time to a 1:53.019, almost 0.3s ahead of Hedge.

At turn 3 Hauger got a touch wide and had a very brief airborne moment off the kerb. He abandoned that lap.

Hauger was fastest in the end by almost 0.7s, ahead of Pierson, Miller, Hedge, Missig, Koolen, Papasavvas, Allaer and Roe. A crucial late improvement for Miller means he’ll start on the third row for tomorrow’s race.

Group 2

Collet, Rowe, de Alba, Hughes, Sceats, Aron, Escotto, Murray, Smith and Deegan ran in the second group.

Championship contender Lochie Hughes started off quickly as he did a 1:53.719, almost 0.9s ahead of Collet, with Myles Rowe three hundredths slower than the Brazilian.

On his second push lap, Caio Collet smashed in a 1:52.549, 0.219s slower than Hauger’s best from Group 1. de Alba was 0.8s back, with Rowe P3 once again. The Brazilian improved on his next run but only by 0.002s.

Lochie Hughes joined Collet in the 1:52s as he did a 1:52.954 to go 2nd. Rowe, de Alba and Aron rounded out the top 5 at the halfway point.

After going 3rd on a previous lap, Salvador de Alba made a mistake on his next lap and caused a red flag, losing his best time in the process.

The other nine drivers returned to the circuit for one final lap but nobody improved. Dennis Hauger takes pole position at Road America ahead of Caio Collet.
