Thomas Ingram Hill became the fourth different driver in as many events to claim the Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award during the 2026 GB4 Championship season.

The Fortec Motorsport driver set the fastest race lap of the Silverstone weekend during Race 1, recording a 2m02.025s after dropping down the order on the opening lap. His benchmark remained unbeaten throughout Sunday’s two contests.

Ingram Hill also completed an impressive sweep of the fastest laps by topping the race times in Race 2 and Race 3. As a result, he joins Fred Green, Alex O’Grady and Enzo Hallman on the list of Sunoco Award winners this season.

Ingram Hill demonstrates pace after Race 1 setback

Ingram Hill started the opening Silverstone race from pole after securing his maiden GB4 pole position during Qualifying.

However, his hopes of converting that advantage into victory disappeared on the opening lap when contact sent him down the order. With clear track ahead after the incident, the British driver instead demonstrated the pace that had earned him pole.

Ingram Hill set a 2m02.025s, which proved more than half a second faster than any other driver managed during the race. Although the result itself did not reflect his speed, the lap established the benchmark for the entire weekend.

Race 1 benchmark remains unbeaten

Ingram Hill continued to lead the way on Sunday after responding to his opening-race disappointment with his maiden GB4 victory in Race 2.

The Fortec driver again set the fastest lap, this time with a 2m02.908s. Although slower than his Race 1 benchmark, it confirmed that he remained the quickest driver across the event’s race sessions.

He completed the sweep during the reverse-grid Race 3 by setting a 2m03.332s. Therefore, Ingram Hill recorded the fastest lap in all three Silverstone races despite facing very different circumstances in each contest.

His 2m02.025s from Race 1 ultimately secured the Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award.

Four different drivers win during opening four rounds

Ingram Hill’s success continues a remarkably even start to the 2026 Sunoco competition.

Green claimed the opening award at Silverstone with a 2m01.643s before O’Grady topped the Oulton Park weekend with a 1m34.827s.

Hallman then became the third different winner at Donington Park after producing a 1m29.660s. Ingram Hill’s performance at the second Silverstone event extended that sequence to four different winners from four rounds.

All four drivers have also featured prominently in the GB4 championship battle during the opening half of the season.

Sunoco rewards fastest race lap of each weekend

GB4 control fuel supplier Sunoco presents the Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award to the competitor who records the quickest race lap across each event.

Rather than rewarding only a single race performance, the award considers all three contests before identifying the fastest lap of the complete weekend.

At Silverstone, Ingram Hill left little doubt over the outcome. His Race 1 benchmark remained comfortably out of reach before he reinforced his advantage by topping the fastest-lap classification in the following two races as well.

Ingram Hill completes pace-setting Silverstone weekend

The award adds another highlight to Ingram Hill’s strongest GB4 weekend of the season so far.

Although his Race 1 challenge unravelled on the opening lap, he demonstrated his underlying speed by recording the weekend’s fastest race lap. He then converted that pace into his maiden victory in Race 2 before charging from 12th to third in Race 3.

His fastest laps in all three contests further underlined Fortec’s competitive Silverstone package. Ingram Hill now joins Green, O’Grady and Hallman as the fourth Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award winner of 2026.
