Hitech TGR have confirmed that Jesse Carrasquedo will be driving for them for the next two rounds of the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season, starting in Barcelona this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He is set to replace Joshua Dufek, after his poor performance in the F3 season. Carrasquedo will line up alongside last weekends F3 Monaco GP Sprint Race Winner, Martinius Stenshorne, and Gerrard Xie.

His racing history

Carrasquedo began his single-seater career in 2022 with Campos Racing in Spanish F4, finishing 23rd. In 2023, he expanded his experience across FRECA, Eurocup-3, and both the Italian and Spanish F4 series. In 2024, the 18-year old drove in Eurocup-3, Formula Regional Europe and Formula Regional Middle East. Carrasquedo returned to action in Formula Regional Middle East before earning his FIA F3 debut with Hitech TGR.

This won’t be Carrasquedo’s first time in a Formula 3 car, as he previously took part in both 2024 post-season tests at Jerez and Barcelona.

Carrasquedo excited to make his F3 debut

As the Mexican driver steps up to F3 for at least the next two events, he expressed his excitement leading up to his first weekend in the Spanish GP for Hitech.

“I’m super excited to take the step up to FIA Formula 3 and my thanks to Hitech for this opportunity. I’m ready to learn as much as possible and perform the best I can.”

Hitech TGR’s Team Manager Paul Bellringer is also pleased to welcome Carrasquedo at the ‘critical’ point of the season, with Barcelona being the midpoint of the calendar.

“We are pleased to welcome Jesse to the team at this critical point of the season, with Barcelona marking the midpoint of the calendar.

“He brings plenty of single-seater experience and I am sure he will make the most of this opportunity to demonstrate that he is ready to step up to the next level.”

Joshua Dufek’s lackluster performance in 2025

Dufek was 25th in the FIA Formula 3 standings with no points, his best finish this year being 11th. He debuted with Campos Racing in 2023, joined AIX Racing in 2024, and was racing for Hitech TGR in 2025. Heading into the Spanish GP, the final leg of the triple header, all of Hitech’s points have come from Martinius Stenshorne, and the team is looking for stronger contributions from the rest of the line-up.
