Kiwi Motorsport Team Owner Teena Larsen believes her team has plenty to fight for as it prepares for the final round of the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier Junior Formula Championship at Barber Motorsports Park.
The American outfit enters the season finale with several drivers competing for important championship positions across its three programmes. Jack Speth remains firmly involved in the Ligier JFC Gen. 2 title battle, while Cooper Shipman hopes to secure runner-up honours in FRAC. Meanwhile, Caleb Campbell will lead the team’s three-car F4 U.S. entry as he aims to improve his position in the Drivers’ Championship.
Having already celebrated numerous victories and podium finishes throughout 2026, Larsen is determined to ensure that her drivers have every opportunity to conclude their campaigns successfully. However, with several championship positions still undecided, the team owner acknowledged that execution throughout the weekend will be essential.
Larsen determined to capitalise on Kiwi Motorsport’s championship opportunities
Kiwi Motorsport heads to Barber following a competitive season across all three championships, having established itself among the leading outfits in junior single-seater racing.
The team has accumulated three victories and 13 podium finishes in Ligier JFC, alongside six wins and 23 podiums in F4 U.S. Its FRAC programme has also produced three victories and ten podium appearances, underlining the competitiveness of its drivers across the different categories.
Although several championship positions have already been decided, Kiwi Motorsport still has opportunities to secure additional honours during the final two races in each series.
Larsen expressed her enthusiasm about the team’s position heading into the season finale, highlighting the achievements of her drivers and the work completed by the organisation throughout the year.
“We’re heading into Barber with a lot to fight for across all three championships, and that’s an exciting position for our team,” Larsen said.
“Jack has done a great job putting himself second in the Ligier JFC, but with only 13 points separating him from the competition, we’ll need to execute every session. We have four drivers in the top six in the F4 U.S. standings, and Cooper and Harbir have had several podiums and a competitive season in FR Americas. Our entire team has worked incredibly hard to get here, and we’re focused on giving every driver the opportunity to finish the year with the results they’ve been working toward.”
Her comments reflect the team’s determination to maximise its remaining opportunities, particularly with championship positions potentially decided by small margins. Although Kiwi Motorsport has already secured significant achievements during 2026, Larsen remains focused on adding to those results before the season concludes.
Speth faces decisive Ligier JFC championship battle
Speth will represent Kiwi Motorsport as its sole Ligier JFC Gen. 2 competitor at Barber, entering the weekend second in the Drivers’ Championship and just 13 points behind the leader.
The narrow deficit leaves the championship firmly within reach, although the remaining races will require the American driver to deliver competitive results while avoiding costly mistakes.
Speth has been one of Kiwi Motorsport’s most consistent performers throughout the season, contributing significantly to its success in the category. The team’s Ligier JFC programme has recorded three victories and ten second-place finishes, giving it 13 podium appearances ahead of the finale.
His recent performances have demonstrated that consistency. During the penultimate round at VIRginia International Raceway, Speth finished second in both races, collecting valuable points despite being unable to secure another victory.
Those results followed a strong season in which he had established himself among the leading Gen. 2 competitors. However, the championship battle remains closely contested, leaving little margin for error during the final weekend.
Larsen’s emphasis on executing every session will be particularly relevant to Speth, with qualifying positions and race consistency potentially influencing the championship outcome. The team will aim to provide him with the strongest possible opportunity to overturn the deficit and secure the title.
Campbell leads three-car F4 U.S. effort in Fourie’s absence
Kiwi Motorsport will field Caleb Campbell, Clemente Huerta and Ayden Kohut in F4 U.S., although the team will be without Zach Fourie for the final event.
Fourie currently occupies second in the championship standings with 223 points, but unforeseen circumstances will prevent him from competing at Barber. His absence creates an opportunity for Campbell, who sits third on 207 points, to strengthen his position in the final championship classification.
The Canadian has enjoyed a competitive campaign with Kiwi Motorsport, although his results have fluctuated during the second half of the season. His most recent appearance at VIR provided an encouraging response, with a second-place finish in Race 2 marking his first podium since Mid-Ohio.
That performance came during a particularly successful weekend for Kiwi Motorsport, which secured four F4 U.S. podium finishes across the two races. Huerta finished third in both contests, while Fourie narrowly missed victory in the opener before Campbell claimed second in the finale.
The results helped Kiwi extend its advantage in the Teams’ Championship, which the squad had already mathematically secured before arriving at VIR. Kiwi Motorsport will therefore enter Barber with its eighth F4 U.S. Teams’ title already confirmed.
Although the Drivers’ Championship has also been secured by Gastón Irazú, the remaining positions are still to be determined. Campbell will aim to take advantage of the final two races, while Huerta and Kohut will pursue further podium finishes.
Huerta and Kohut target strong conclusion to F4 campaigns
Huerta enters the season finale following an encouraging run of performances since returning to Kiwi Motorsport midway through the championship.
The Chilean rejoined the team ahead of the New Jersey round and immediately demonstrated improved competitiveness, recording two podium finishes during that weekend. He subsequently continued his progress at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park before securing another pair of third-place finishes at VIR.
Those results have lifted Huerta to fifth in the Drivers’ Championship on 156 points, placing him among the four Kiwi Motorsport drivers currently occupying positions inside the top six.
Kohut also remains in contention for a strong championship finish, entering Barber sixth with 104 points. The Canadian has continued gaining experience throughout his first full F4 U.S. campaign, recording competitive finishes as he develops his understanding of the category.
At VIR, Kohut finished fourth and fifth, contributing to another productive weekend for the team. Those performances demonstrated his improving consistency and ability to challenge near the front of the field.
With Fourie unavailable, both drivers will have increased responsibility within Kiwi Motorsport’s three-car entry. Their results could also help the team add further podium finishes to an already successful season.
Shipman targets FRAC Vice Champion honours
Kiwi Motorsport’s FRAC programme will feature Cooper Shipman and Harbir Dass, with both drivers aiming to strengthen their championship positions during the final weekend.
Shipman currently occupies third in the standings with 202 points, leaving him 26.5 points behind second-placed Evagoras Papasavvas. Although Brady Golan has already secured the Drivers’ Championship, the fight for runner-up honours remains mathematically open.
The Kiwi Motorsport driver has demonstrated strong competitiveness throughout his rookie FRAC campaign, securing multiple podium finishes and establishing himself among the championship’s leading drivers.
His performances at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park provided particular encouragement, with second and third-place finishes strengthening his position in the standings.
However, the penultimate round at VIR proved more challenging. Contact with Papasavvas during the opening race left Shipman unable to score, although he recovered to finish fifth in the second contest and retain third overall.
As detailed in Pit Debrief’s championship analysis following VIR, Shipman also faces pressure from Crosslink Motorsport’s Kekai Hauanio, who sits just 15.5 points behind after a particularly strong penultimate weekend.
Shipman will therefore need to balance his ambition of moving into second with the importance of defending his current position from the drivers immediately behind him.
Dass looks to defend seventh in FRAC standings
Dass completes Kiwi Motorsport’s two-car FRAC entry, arriving at Barber seventh in the Drivers’ Championship.
The American driver has demonstrated competitive pace throughout the season, although his results have not always reflected his potential. Nevertheless, he has contributed to Kiwi Motorsport’s podium tally and continued gaining experience in Formula Regional machinery.
Dass recorded one of his strongest performances at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where he finished third. He subsequently maintained his position among the championship’s leading competitors through consistent points-scoring performances.
During the penultimate weekend at VIR, Dass finished sixth and eighth, collecting another 12 championship points and increasing his season total to 108.
However, his position remains under pressure, with Crosslink Motorsport’s Alejandro Bobadilla trailing by just three points heading into the finale.
The narrow gap ensures that both drivers will have plenty to fight for during the final two races. Dass will aim to defend seventh in the championship while pursuing another competitive result to conclude his season.
Together, Shipman and Dass have contributed to a successful FRAC campaign for Kiwi Motorsport, which currently occupies third in the Teams’ Championship. Their performances at Barber will provide one final opportunity to add to the team’s three victories and ten podium finishes recorded throughout 2026.
Kiwi Motorsport aims to conclude successful 2026 campaign on a high
The final weekend at Barber Motorsports Park will bring Kiwi Motorsport’s three championship programmes to a close, with several drivers continuing to fight for important positions in the standings.
The Alabama circuit will host practice on Friday before qualifying and the opening races on Saturday. Sunday’s final races will determine the remaining championship classifications, bringing another competitive season of junior single-seater racing to an end.
For Larsen, the weekend represents an opportunity to reward the efforts of the entire organisation. Kiwi Motorsport has already secured the F4 U.S. Teams’ Championship and achieved numerous victories and podium finishes across its three programmes, but the team remains focused on maximising its final results.
Speth’s Ligier JFC championship challenge represents one of the most significant opportunities, while Shipman will attempt to secure runner-up honours in FRAC. Campbell, Huerta and Kohut will aim to finish their F4 U.S. campaigns positively, with Dass also targeting a strong conclusion to his season.
Having accumulated 46 podium finishes across its three programmes, Kiwi Motorsport will approach the final weekend determined to add to that tally and secure the strongest possible championship results.
With several battles still undecided, Larsen and her drivers will now aim to convert a season of competitive performances into one final successful weekend at Barber.
