Nico Müller joined Porsche Formula E Team as teammate to Pascal Wehrlein for the new Formula E season. Porsche named him a works’ driver in 2024 and trusted his GT and endurance experience. In 2025, he prepared for the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche Penske Motorsport. He also raced in IMSA at Indianapolis with Tijmen van der Helm and targets another run at Road Atlanta.

From Dragon to Porsche: Müller’s Steady Rise in Formula E

Müller began his FE career in 2019 with Dragon Racing, where he showed speed but struggled with an uncompetitive car. He stayed with the team through difficult seasons and earned respect for his consistency and race craft. In 2023 he returned to the grid with ABT CUPRA and fought for points against stronger factory teams. Müller’s performances opened the door to Andretti, where he became a Porsche works driver and took on a bigger role in the Formula E championship.

His journey in FE reflected persistence, adaptability, and steady growth with every step. Müller’s persistence has now paid off – following his points-scoring return with ABT CUPRA and a proving season at customer outfit Andretti, he has been announced as a full-time driver for the Porsche Formula E Team—stepping into a factory seat to partner their title-chasing program and elevate his role at the front of the championship.

Consistent contenders turned champions

Porsche Formula E Team entered Formula E in 2019, known as TAG Heuer Porsche before changing their name ahead of season 12th, and quickly grew into a front-running team. The outfit combined Porsche’s motorsport heritage with advanced electric technology and scored early podiums. In 2023, the team became a consistent contender and took victories with Pascal Wehrlein and António Félix da Costa.

The strong results carried into the following seasons, with Porsche fighting at the front and challenging for both drivers’ and teams’ championships. In 2023, it secured the Drivers’ Championship with Wehrlein, and in 2024-25 it celebrated its first Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Championships. The last two years underlined its steady progress and confirmed its place among the elite. Porsche Formula E Team’s journey showed ambition, growth, and ultimate success in electric racing.
