Hillspeed’s Demitri Nolan will start 2026 GB4 Race 2 at Donington Park from pole position after post-session investigations transformed the Qualifying order.

GB4 uses each driver’s second-quickest Qualifying lap to set the Race 2 grid. Nolan will share the front row with Douglas Motorsport’s Dayton Coulthard, while rookies Jordyn Martin and Michael Koh occupy the second row.

Five drivers will also serve grid penalties following investigations into Saturday’s Race 1, creating further changes throughout the 26-car starting order. Race 2 will begin at 09:30.

Nolan inherits Race 2 pole after 2026 GB4 Donington Park Qualifying review

Alex O’Grady originally set the two quickest laps during Saturday morning’s Qualifying session and appeared to have secured pole for both Race 1 and Race 2.

However, officials deleted nine of the KMR Sport driver’s 10 laps for exceeding track limits. His original second-fastest time of 1m29.390s therefore disappeared from the classification, opening the door for Nolan to inherit Race 2 pole with his surviving second-best effort.

Nolan will aim to build on his fourth-place finish in Race 1, while Coulthard starts alongside him after taking third in Saturday’s opener. Their front-row positions give both drivers another opportunity to challenge for a Donington Park victory.

Martin and Koh form all-rookie second row

Fortec Motorsports’ Jordyn Martin will start third and lead the rookie contingent after qualifying on the inside of the second row.

Arden Motorsport’s Michael Koh joins Martin in fourth. Koh emerged as the only driver who did not lose a lap for exceeding track limits during the heavily disrupted Qualifying classification.

Fox Motorsport teammates Jasser Iskander and Enzo Rujugiro will occupy the third row in fifth and sixth respectively. Both drivers retired from Race 1, giving them an immediate opportunity to recover valuable ground.

Hilton starts eighth after maiden victory

Pace Performance’s Josh McLean will start seventh, one position ahead of Race 1 winner Luke Hilton.

Hilton converted pole into his maiden GB4 victory on Saturday, resisting Franciszek Cegielski following a Safety Car restart. However, his second-quickest Qualifying lap places the Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing driver on the fourth row for Race 2.

Cegielski starts ninth after finishing only 0.528s behind Hilton in Race 1. Solenn Amrouche completes the top 10 after receiving a five-place grid penalty for causing a collision during Saturday’s contest.

Post-Race 1 penalties alter midfield order for 2026 GB4 Donington Park Race 2

Race officials handed five-place grid penalties to Amrouche, John O’Donnell, Archie Davies and Romuald Bocquet after finding that each driver had caused a collision in Race 1.

Consequently, O’Donnell will start 19th for Pace Performance, while Davies lines up 24th and Bocquet starts at the rear in 26th for Scorpio Motorsport.

Officials also penalised Elite Motorsport’s Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso five grid places for failing to comply with yellow-flag signals. He will therefore start 22nd, directly behind Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing rookie Jamie Leverton.

Green and O’Grady face recovery drives

Thomas Ingram Hill starts 11th for Fortec Motorsports, with Elite Motorsport’s Matan Achituv alongside him on row six.

Championship leader Fred Green will begin from 13th, while O’Grady starts 14th after losing the laps that had initially placed him at the front. Both drivers must move through the field to limit the opportunity available to their championship rivals.

Enzo Hallman and Connor Willis form an all-Hillspeed eighth row in 15th and 16th. Torrin Byrne and rookie Conor Grant follow, while the penalised O’Donnell and Caitlyn McDaniel complete the top 20.
