Doriane Pin is set to make a significant return to sportscar racing in 2026, with the 22-year-old French driver confirmed to compete in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) with the Duqueine Team in the LMP2 Pro/Am category.
Pin will share the No. 30 Oreca 07-Gibson prototype with team-mates Giorgio Roda and Richard Verschoor. They are a part of a refreshed Duqueine entry that includes a new technical collaboration with single-seater squad R-ACE GP.
A return to her endurance roots
Pin’s return marks a homecoming of sorts to endurance racing. She originally cut her teeth in ELMS in 2022, competing in the LMGTE class with Iron Dames. At the season finale in Portimão, the Frecnch driver achieved victory in her category.
In 2023, she stepped up to prototype competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Prema Racing. Pin finished on the LMP2 podium on her debut at the 1000 Miles of Sebring.
However, Pin stepped back from sportscar racing after the 2024 6 Hours of Imola to focus on her single-seater ambitions. Now, fresh from claiming the 2025 F1 Academy title, she is ready to combine her single-seater experience with a renewed endurance drive.
Balancing roles in 2026
Alongside her ELMS programme in 2026, Pin will continue her wider involvement in motorsport as a development driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
The 2026 ELMS season is scheduled to open at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 10–12 April. It’s the kick-off of a six-round campaign that will also visit historic venues including Spa-Francorchamps.
For Pin, the forthcoming season brings both familiar challenges and fresh opportunities. Returning to LMP2 competition with a competitive line-up and renewed focus, she will be one to watch as the championship unfolds.
