Italian outfit BVM Racing has confirmed Alessandro Famularo as another driver in its line-up for the upcoming Euroformula Open season. The announcement follows the Venezuelan driver’s promising debut with the team at the end of the 2025 campaign. After competing in the final three rounds of the championship, Famularo demonstrated strong consistency and secured points in every race he entered. With the new agreement, the 22-year-old will now contest the entire season with the Italian squad. Strong Impression in late 2025 debut earns Famularo 2026 Euroformula Open return with BVM Famularo joined BVM Racing for the closing stages of the 2025 season and quickly adapted to the championship. Over the three rounds he contested, he scored points in all nine races. His most notable performance came during the final event at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where he achieved a fourth-place finish in Race 3. The result marked his best performance of the season and confirmed his potential within the series. Those consistent results convinced both driver and team to continue their collaboration into the new season. Returning to European single-seaters and the determination to represent Venezuela Famularo already has experience in European formula racing. Earlier in his career, he competed in the Formula Regional European Championship and also made an appearance in the FIA Formula 3 Championship during the 2022 season. He eventually returned to racing in 2025 and began rebuilding momentum in his career. His performances with BVM Racing during the closing rounds of the Euroformula Open season demonstrated that he had successfully regained his competitive form. Famularo emphasised that perseverance and determination helped him overcome the challenges that interrupted his career. “I never gave up on my dream, even when people were saying it was impossible, and continued preparing myself with all determination. I’m happy to be back racing, thanks to the support of the sensational Furia Team [a sportsmen management company investing in Venezuelan talents]. The coming season is a challenge and a strategic step in our objective, to have Venezuela represented again at the highest level of motor racing.” The Venezuelan driver receives support from Furia Team, which invests in developing racing talent from the country. BVM looking ahead to 2026 with expanded line-up BVM Racing continues to build its driver roster for the 2026 season and could field up to four cars in the championship. The team has already confirmed Mexican prospect Javier Herrera, who steps up after a strong rookie campaign in Formula 4. With Famularo now returning for a full campaign, the Italian squad strengthens its line-up with a driver who already understands the team and the championship. By contesting the entire championship, he will have the opportunity to translate that experience into stronger results across the calendar. For BVM Racing, the continuation of this partnership adds continuity to the team’s programme and increases its chances of remaining a competitive force in the Euroformula Open paddock.
