Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA led the way in FP3 for the 2026 WEC TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, as Will Stevens placed the #12 Cadillac V-Series.R on top of the Hypercar order in a tightly-contested final practice session. In LMGT3, Garage 59 completed a McLaren one-two, with Finn Gehrsitz setting the benchmark.
The final 60-minute practice session in Belgium gave teams one last chance to complete their preparations before qualifying and Hyperpole. However, three Full Course Yellow periods interrupted proceedings, with debris on track and a late stoppage for the #92 The Bend Manthey Porsche shaping the session.
2026 FIA WEC: 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps: FP3: Hypercar
Cadillac takes control at Spa
Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA moved to the top of the Hypercar timesheets in FP3, as Will Stevens delivered a 2m02.379s in the #12 Cadillac V-Series.R. Therefore, the American manufacturer ended final practice with momentum as it continues its search for another FIA WEC victory after breaking through at Interlagos last July.
Stevens shares the #12 Cadillac with Alex Lynn and Norman Nato. His effort placed the car just 0.023s clear of the #83 AF Corse Ferrari, underlining how close the field remained ahead of qualifying.
The result also continued Stevens’ strong relationship with Spa-Francorchamps, after the British driver won at the Belgian circuit two years ago with JOTA in Porsche machinery.
Ferrari keeps pressure on Cadillac
AF Corse placed second with the #83 Ferrari 499P, as Robert Kubica set an early 2m02.402s in the car he shares with Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson. That lap kept the privateer Ferrari entry firmly in the fight at the front.
The factory Ferrari AF Corse cars followed close behind. The #51 Ferrari 499P, winner at Spa in 2025, finished fifth with a 2m02.631s, while the sister #50 car took sixth on a 2m02.882s.
As a result, Ferrari placed all three of its 499Ps inside the top six. However, Cadillac held the advantage on outright pace by the end of the session.
Aston Martin and Cadillac remain inside the leading group
Aston Martin THOR Team continued its encouraging Spa weekend, as the #007 Aston Martin Valkyrie took third with a 2m02.469s. Harry Tincknell and Tom Gamble shared the cockpit during FP3, as the British manufacturer again showed strong pace across practice.
The #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA entry followed in fourth. Sébastien Bourdais, Earl Bamber and Jack Aitken combined to put the second Cadillac V-Series.R just 0.104s away from Stevens’ session-leading time.
That meant the top four were separated by barely over one tenth of a second, setting up a close fight for qualifying later on Friday.
Peugeot and Alpine complete the top ten
Team Peugeot TotalEnergies placed seventh with the #93 Peugeot 9X8. Stoffel Vandoorne, Nick Cassidy and Paul di Resta all completed running during the session, as Peugeot continued to build towards qualifying.
Alpine Endurance Team followed in eighth with the #35 Alpine A424 of António Félix da Costa, Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi. After Alpine’s one-two in FP2 on Thursday afternoon, the French manufacturer remained inside the leading group, although it did not repeat its previous benchmark pace.
The #94 Peugeot finished ninth, while the #36 Alpine completed the top ten.
Full Course Yellows interrupt final practice
FP3 featured three Full Course Yellow periods. The first two were deployed to clear debris from the circuit, while the third followed a stoppage for the #92 The Bend Manthey Porsche at Stavelot with Richard Lietz at the wheel.
Although the interruptions limited clean running, the session still showed how narrow the Hypercar margins remain. The top six were covered by just 0.503s, while five manufacturers finished inside the top eight.

2026 FIA WEC: 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps: FP3: LMGT3
Garage 59 McLaren leads LMGT3 one-two
Garage 59 topped the LMGT3 order in FP3, as Finn Gehrsitz put the #58 McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo at the front. The German set a 2m17.068s in the car he shares with Louis Prette and Marvin Kirchhöfer.
That lap gave Gehrsitz a slender 0.004s advantage over the sister #10 Garage 59 McLaren. Therefore, the British team completed a one-two in final practice and showed impressive single-lap pace before qualifying.
Gehrsitz will also aim for a second consecutive Spa pole position later on Friday, after claiming LMGT3 pole at the circuit in 2025 with Akkodis ASP Team.
Fleming keeps sister McLaren close
Tom Fleming continued his strong form in his debut FIA WEC season, placing the #10 Garage 59 McLaren second with a 2m17.072s. The narrow gap between the two McLarens highlighted the team’s strength across both cars.
The result also gave Garage 59 a clear advantage at the head of the class, as the third-placed #21 VISTA AF Corse Ferrari ended FP3 0.641s away from Gehrsitz’s benchmark.
VISTA AF Corse and Lexus stay in contention
VISTA AF Corse followed in third with the #21 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo. François Hériau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera again showed strong pace and consistency as they continue their preparations for the six-hour race.
Akkodis ASP Team placed fourth with the #78 Lexus RC F LMGT3. Hadrien David, Tom Van Rompuy and Esteban Masson bounced back well after the car lost a wheel during FP2 on Thursday afternoon and was left stranded on track.
The sister #87 Lexus finished seventh, giving Akkodis ASP Team two cars inside the top seven by the end of final practice.
The Bend Manthey Porsche stops at Stavelot
The Bend Manthey completed the top five with the #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R. Riccardo Pera set the car’s best lap, a 2m18.368s, before the entry later stopped on track at Stavelot with reigning champion Richard Lietz behind the wheel.
The incident triggered the third Full Course Yellow of the session and disrupted the final part of LMGT3 running.
Heart of Racing Team followed in sixth with the #27 Aston Martin Vantage. Ian James, Mattia Drudi and Zacharie Robichon continued to build their Spa weekend as they look to recover from a difficult opening round at Imola, where they were forced to retire.
Proton Competition and Iron Lynx complete the top ten
Proton Competition placed both Ford Mustang LMGT3s inside the top ten. The #77 Ford finished eighth, while the #88 sister car followed in ninth.
Iron Lynx completed the top ten with the #61 Mercedes-AMG, while VISTA AF Corse’s #54 Ferrari, Team WRT’s #32 BMW, TF Sport’s #33 Corvette and Manthey DK Engineering’s #91 Porsche followed behind.

Qualifying next at Spa-Francorchamps
Cadillac ended FP3 on top in Hypercar after a finely-balanced final practice session, while Garage 59 delivered a McLaren one-two in LMGT3. Nevertheless, both classes remain competitive, and the disrupted running means teams still have important questions to answer before qualifying.
Qualifying and Hyperpole for the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps are scheduled to begin at 14:30 local time on Friday, 8 May.
