CUPRA KIRO’s Dan Ticktum started on pole alongside Nyck de Vries, who qualified just 0.131s behind the Brit in the qualifying finals. Maximilian Günther lined up P3, while Mitch Evans began from P4.
Further back, championship leader Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Müller lined up P5 and P6, respectively, while Joel Eriksson started from P7. António Delix Da Costa, Jean-Éric Vergne, and Felipe Drugovich closed off the top ten. Notably, Sébastien Buemi received a three-place grid penalty for impeding Günther in qualifying.
The Monaco E-Prix race began with a strong start from Ticktum. Lap 4 saw a collision between Jake Dennis and Nick Cassidy at the Nouvelle Chicane, bringing out a safety car and leaving Dennis with a DNF. Cassidy made his way back to the pits before continuing the race, though he ultimately received a 10-second penalty for the collision.
Meanwhile, Race Control handed Norman Nato a drive-through penalty for a tyre pressure infraction, dropping him down to P19. Lap 13 saw a brief yellow flag as the Porsche teammates made contact, leaving Wehrlein with a rear puncture and Müller without a front wing. The reigning World Champion, Oliver Rowland, also suffered from a puncture.
De Vries made his way for the mandatory Pit Boost on Lap 15, as race leader Ticktum opted for a delayed Pit Boost strategy. Notably, this gamble cost Ticktum his track position as de Vries picked up his pace.
The race ended after a Full Course Yellow was called following Da Costa’s collision with the wall, with Ticktum dropping to P12 after a penalty. Through it all, de Vries claimed victory at Round 9 of the Formula E Monaco E-Prix.
