Alex O’Grady delivered a composed drive in the second GB4 Championship race of the weekend at Oulton Park, taking his first victory of the 2026 season for KMR Sport. The Irishman made a strong start from pole, managed an early safety car restart cleanly and pulled away from championship leader Fred Green in the closing stages.

After narrowly missing out to Green in Race 1, O’Grady responded in impressive fashion. He led home the Elite Motorsport driver by 2.612 seconds after 11 laps, while Hillspeed’s Enzo Hallman completed the podium in third.

O’Grady makes perfect start from pole in 2026 GB4 Race 2 at Oulton Park

O’Grady made the launch he needed from pole and immediately placed Green under pressure at the start. Unlike their intense opening-lap fight on Saturday, the KMR Sport driver quickly established control and built a strong margin during the first lap.

However, his early advantage was soon wiped out. Dayton Coulthard and Josh McLean came together at Cascades, forcing both drivers out before completing a lap and bringing out the safety car.

That interruption erased O’Grady’s lead of almost one second and placed Green back on his rear wing. Nevertheless, O’Grady handled the restart with maturity when the safety car returned to the pits at the end of lap three.

O’Grady rebuilds lead after safety car restart

Once racing resumed, O’Grady immediately rebuilt a gap of more than a second over Green. Although the margin briefly dropped to eight tenths on lap five, that proved to be as close as Green would get.

From there, O’Grady showed strong race pace and gradually edged away. He generally extended his advantage by around a quarter of a second per lap, giving himself enough breathing space to control the closing stages.

His fastest lap of 1m35.472s came on lap 10, underlining his pace late in the race. That lap also secured the fastest lap honours as he completed a confident response to his Race 1 defeat.

Green holds off Hallman for second as podium battle tightens

While O’Grady pulled clear, Green had to focus on defending second place. Hallman stayed close throughout the race and kept the Elite Motorsport driver under pressure during the middle and final phases.

The pair were separated by little more than half a second for much of the contest. Green ultimately held on, crossing the line just 0.422 seconds ahead of Hallman to secure his second podium finish of the weekend.

Hallman also continued his consistent Oulton Park form. The Hillspeed driver finished third again, adding another strong result after his Race 1 podium.

Ingram Hill continues fourth-place streak as Hilton takes fifth

Behind the podium trio, Thomas Ingram Hill claimed fourth for Fortec Motorsports. It marked his fourth fourth-place finish of the 2026 season, continuing his run of strong but narrowly podium-missing results.

Luke Hilton bounced back from his Race 1 retirement with fifth for Nitrous Competition ADM Racing. He finished just over a second behind Ingram Hill and ahead of Elite Motorsport’s Matan Achituv, who came home sixth.

Torrin Byrne followed in seventh for Pace Performance, gaining two places from ninth on the grid. Franciszek Cegielski finished eighth for Fortec Motorsports and was once again the highest-placed Rookie runner.

Martin charges into top ten with standout drive

Connor Willis finished ninth for Hillspeed, while Jordyn Martin produced one of the most impressive drives of the race. The Fortec Motorsports rookie started 15th but climbed to 11th early on before continuing her charge.

With three laps remaining, Martin passed Elite Motorsport’s Emilio Valentino Del Grosso to secure the final place inside the top ten. Her five-place gain made her one of the biggest movers in the race.

Further back, Conor Grant, Jason Smyth and Archie Davies completed the next group, while Charlie Myers and Michael Koh followed in 15th and 16th respectively.

O’Grady cuts into Green’s momentum ahead of final Oulton Park race

O’Grady’s victory marked an important response after Green’s Race 1 success. Green remains the championship leader, but O’Grady’s Race 2 performance showed that he has the pace and composure to challenge directly across the weekend.

With one more GB4 Championship race still to come at Oulton Park, the momentum between the two title contenders remains finely balanced. The third and final race of the weekend is scheduled for 15:00 UK time, with live coverage available through the official championship website.
