Kiwi Motorsport will return to action this weekend as the team travels to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the third round of the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC), Formula 4 United States (F4 U.S.) Championship, and Ligier Junior Formula Championship seasons.

The team arrives in Ohio after a strong weekend at Road America, where it secured race wins, podium finishes, and a sweep in Ligier JFC Gen. 2 competition. As a result, Kiwi Motorsport enters the next event with momentum across all three of its programmes.

With championship fights beginning to intensify, Mid-Ohio offers the team another opportunity to strengthen its position across the North American open-wheel ladder.

FR Americas duo looks to continue strong form

In Formula Regional Americas, Kiwi Motorsport will field Cooper Shipman and Harbir Dass.

Both drivers showed strong pace at Road America and stood on the podium before penalties were applied. Therefore, the pair will aim to convert that speed into another competitive showing at Mid-Ohio.

Shipman remains firmly involved in the championship fight after a strong first half of the season. Meanwhile, Dass has continued to establish himself as a consistent frontrunner and will look to maintain that progress at the technical Ohio road course.

Mid-Ohio’s flowing layout and limited margin for error should provide a significant challenge for the FR Americas field. However, Kiwi Motorsport will arrive with confidence after its recent performances.

Campbell and Fourie continue F4 title battle

Kiwi Motorsport’s F4 U.S. Championship line-up will feature Caleb Campbell, Ayden Kohut and Zach Fourie.

Campbell and Fourie remain locked in a close battle near the front of the championship standings. Both drivers have consistently run at the sharp end throughout the season, giving Kiwi Motorsport a strong presence in the title fight.

Kohut will also look to build on his recent progress. He has continued to improve with each event and will aim to take another step forward at Mid-Ohio.

With qualifying and race execution set to play a major role, the F4 U.S. trio will target another strong weekend as the season moves into its next phase.

Speth targets more Ligier JFC success

In Ligier Junior Formula Championship competition, Jack Speth returns after a dominant Road America outing.

Speth swept the Gen. 2 class at the previous round, giving him and the team a major confidence boost before Mid-Ohio. He will now look to maintain that momentum and add another strong result to his championship campaign.

The Ligier JFC schedule includes a busy race programme, with competitors set to contest three races across Saturday and Sunday.

Larsen praises team momentum

Team owner Teena Larsen believes Kiwi Motorsport’s Road America results reflected the strength of the full organisation.

“Road America was a fantastic weekend for our entire organization, and we’re excited to carry that momentum into Mid-Ohio,” said Larsen. “We’ve got drivers competing for wins and championships across all three series, which is a testament to the hard work of our crew and the commitment of our drivers. Mid-Ohio is a challenging and rewarding track, and we’re looking forward to another competitive weekend.”

Her comments underline the team’s confidence heading into the third round. Moreover, with drivers competing for victories and championship positions across all three categories, Kiwi Motorsport has several opportunities to continue its strong start to the season.

Busy Mid-Ohio weekend ahead

The Mid-Ohio event will begin with testing on Thursday and Friday morning before official practice sessions take place on Friday afternoon.

Saturday will feature qualifying and the opening race for FR Americas, F4 U.S. Championship and Ligier JFC competitors. Then, on Sunday, FR Americas and F4 will contest their second races of the weekend, while Ligier JFC will complete the event with a doubleheader.

With momentum from Road America and championship battles developing across the paddock, Kiwi Motorsport heads to Mid-Ohio looking to continue its winning form and reinforce its status among the leading teams in North American open-wheel racing.
