Evans, Gracie and Wood top Friday practice at Queensland Raceway as 2026 GTWC Australia Round 3 gets underway in Ipswich.

The third round of the 2026 GT World Challenge (GTWC) Australia powered by AWS began with a closely contested Friday at Queensland Raceway, as three different crews topped the day’s three practice sessions.

Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte led a Ferrari one-two in Practice 1 for ARGT, before Renee Gracie put OnlyFans Racing on top of Bronze Practice. Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks then completed the day fastest of all, guiding Team BRM / Wolfbrook Motorsport to first place in Practice 2.

2026 GTWC Australia Queensland: Evans and Schutte lead Ferrari one-two in Practice 1

ARGT made the strongest start to the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Queensland weekend, with Evans and Schutte taking the top spot in the opening one-hour session.

Evans set the benchmark during his opening stint, recording a 1:07.470 on the 12th lap in the #26 Ferrari 296 GT3. The time remained unbeaten for the rest of the session and left the ARGT entry 0.274 seconds clear at the top.

Will Davison and Gracie completed a Ferrari one-two for OnlyFans Racing. Their #181 Ferrari 296 GT3 posted a 1:07.744, continuing the pair’s progress after switching to the Italian manufacturer at the beginning of the season.

The reigning champions, Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher, placed third for Kelso Electrical / Team MPC. Feeney produced a 1:07.786 in the #1 Audi R8 LMS EVO II, only 0.042 seconds behind the OnlyFans Racing Ferrari.

Alex Peroni and Mark Rosser narrowly missed the top three on Peroni’s return to the championship. The Team BRM Audi finished fourth with a 1:07.788, just two thousandths of a second behind Feeney and Schumacher.

Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks placed fifth in the Team BRM / Wolfbrook Motorsport Audi, with their 1:07.789 leaving three cars separated by only three thousandths of a second from third to fifth. Brendon Leitch and Sergio Pires followed in sixth for Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani Motorsport.

In the Trophy Class, Luke Youlden and Nathan Halstead led the way for AED Consulting by Tigani Motorsport. Their #71 Porsche 911 GT3 R recorded a 1:08.200 to finish 11th overall.

Paul Stokell and Gary Higgon were second in class for KFC / Team MPC, despite having their fastest lap invalidated, while series debutant Cameron Rees completed the Trophy order in the Volante Rosso Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3.

2026 GTWC Australia Queensland: Gracie claims first session-topping result in Bronze Practice

Gracie continued OnlyFans Racing’s strong start to the weekend by setting the fastest time in the 40-minute Bronze Practice session.

Driving the #181 Ferrari for the entirety of the session, Gracie produced a 1:07.757 on her 15th and final lap. The late improvement secured her first session-topping result of the season and placed the Ferrari just 0.088 seconds clear of its nearest challenger.

Pires finished second in the Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. His 1:07.845 kept him within a tenth of Gracie, while the leading pair ended the session comfortably clear of the rest of the field.

Paul Lucchitti was third in the Move My Wheels by Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG, recording a 1:08.661. Rosser was the leading Audi driver in fourth for Team BRM, with Schumacher completing the top five for Kelso Electrical / Team MPC.

Schumacher’s 1:08.828 was set early in the session, before an accident brought out the red flag and ended the #1 Audi’s running. The car’s fastest lap was also invalidated, although Schumacher retained fifth place in the final classification.

Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte placed sixth in the ARGT Ferrari, ahead of the Trophy Class-leading KFC / Team MPC Audi of Stokell and Higgon.

Stokell’s 1:08.958 placed the #24 Audi seventh overall and more than a second ahead of its closest Trophy rival. Rees finished second in class with a 1:10.238, having improved by more than a second compared with Practice 1.

Nathan Halstead completed the Trophy Class order for AED Consulting by Tigani Motorsport with a 1:11.229.

2026 GTWC Australia Queensland: Wood and Brooks end Friday on top

Wood and Brooks concluded Friday as the fastest pairing at Queensland Raceway after leading the final one-hour practice session.

Wood set the decisive time during the opening half of the session, producing a 1:06.924 on his 13th lap in the #88 Team BRM / Wolfbrook Motorsport Audi R8 LMS EVO II. It was the first lap of the day beneath the 1:07 barrier and remained unbeaten until the chequered flag.

Davison and Gracie continued their consistently strong Friday by finishing second for OnlyFans Racing. Davison’s late 1:06.963 brought the Ferrari to within 0.039 seconds of the leading Audi.

Peroni and Rosser completed the top three in Team BRM’s sister #268 Audi. Peroni posted a 1:07.146 to finish 0.222 seconds away from the top spot.

Feeney and Schumacher recovered from their interrupted Bronze Practice to take fourth for Kelso Electrical / Team MPC. Their 1:07.150 was only four thousandths of a second slower than Peroni and Rosser’s time.

Practice 1 leaders Evans and Schutte rounded out the top five. Evans improved to a 1:07.308 late in the session, placing the ARGT Ferrari ahead of the Zagame Autosport Ferrari 296 GT3 shared by Jayden Buchan and Campbell.

Oscar Targett and Justin Tigani finished seventh in the Kollosche AMG by Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, while Tony D’Alberto and Adrian Deitz took eighth for Wall Racing in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

In the Trophy Class, Youlden and Halstead returned to the top for AED Consulting by Tigani Motorsport. Their 1:08.014 placed the #71 Porsche ninth overall and 0.082 seconds ahead of Stokell and Higgon’s KFC / Team MPC Audi.

Rees completed the Trophy Class order in the Volante Rosso Motorsport Aston Martin, setting a 1:10.811 during another valuable hour of running on his series debut.
