There was drama early with Jin Nakamura, Maciej Gładysz and Gerrard Xie colliding, with Gładysz and Xie in the barriers at Turn 13, bringing out the safety car.
When racing resumed, Salim Hanna stopped on track ahead of Turn 13, prompting a Virtual Safety Car. Racing began again on Lap 7, with Slater creating a gap to Colnaghi in P2.
On Lap 10, Ugochukwu made a double overtake on the outside of Turn 2 on Badoer and Colnaghi, moving into P2, right behind championship rival Slater.
Kanato Le stopped on the side of the track ahead of Turn 13, on Lap 13 bringing out a brief Virtual Safety Car to retrieve his ART Grand Prix machinery.
On Lap 15, there was contact between Yevan David on Enzo Deligny, who then hit Fernando Barrichello. Deligny and Barrichello retired from the race, with another Safety Car brought out to retrieve the AIX machinery of Barrichello.
Racing resumed on Lap 18, with Slater and Ugochukwu battling back and forward out front.
At the conclusion of the Feature, Slater claimed his first FIA F3 victory, ahead of Ugochukwu and Badoer.
