2026 | ELMS | Standings after Round 4 | Forestier Racing by Panis returns to the top after Spa

Round 4 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) reshaped the championship battles across all four classes following a dramatic 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Forestier Racing by Panis returned to the top of LMP2 and now sits level on points with United Autosports, while Algarve Pro Racing and AF Corse are also tied at the head of LMP2 Pro/Am. CLX Motorsport opened a 15-point advantage in LMP3 after Rinaldi Racing’s post-race disqualification, while Proton Competition moved back ahead of TF Sport in a tightly contested LMGT3 championship.

Forestier Racing by Panis returns to LMP2 lead

Forestier Racing by Panis moved back to the top of the LMP2 standings after Louis Rousset, Esteban Masson and Oliver Gray inherited second place at Spa following a post-race penalty for the #10 Vector Sport.

The #29 Oreca-Gibson crew added 18 points to move onto 70, drawing level with United Autosports. Forestier Racing by Panis holds first on countback thanks to victories at Barcelona and Imola, compared with the #22 crew’s single victory at Le Castellet.

Jamie Chadwick, Laurents Hörr and Valerio Rinicella finally broke their run of three consecutive fourth-place finishes by taking third at Spa. Rinicella also secured the bonus point for pole, lifting IDEC Sport to third in the championship on 52 points.

Behind them, the #34 Inter Europol Competition entry failed to score and remains on 43 points. However, Spa winners Jakub Śmiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Nick Yelloly made significant progress with the sister #43 car, which climbed to fifth in the Teams’ standings on 42 points.

Algarve Pro Racing and AF Corse level in LMP2 Pro/Am

The LMP2 Pro/Am title fight remains even closer after Spa, with Algarve Pro Racing and AF Corse now tied on 61 points.

Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli and Malthe Jakobsen retained the championship lead after finishing second in Belgium. Their #20 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca has now recorded one victory and two second-place finishes across the opening four rounds.

AF Corse closed the gap completely after François Perrodo, Antonio Fuoco and Matthieu Vaxivière won at Spa. The #83 crew also has one victory but only one second-place finish, leaving Algarve Pro Racing ahead on countback.

Imola winners Jens Reno Møller, Cem Bölükbaşı and Lorenzo Fluxa dropped to third after finishing seventh at Spa. Vector Sport now has 49 points, level with the #30 Duqueine Team crew of Doriane Pin, Giorgio Roda and Richard Verschoor, which also collected the bonus point for pole in Belgium.

CLX Motorsport takes control of LMP3

CLX Motorsport emerged as the biggest beneficiary from the post-race developments at Spa.

Rinaldi Racing initially crossed the line first in LMP3, but officials disqualified the #5 Ligier after post-race scrutineering found its fuel tank capacity exceeded the permitted limit. That handed CLX Motorsport its second consecutive victory following its Imola success.

Paul Lanchère and Alexander Jacoby now lead the Drivers’ Championship with 65 points, while the #17 CLX Motorsport entry holds the same total in the Teams’ standings. Louis Iglesias, who joined the crew after the opening round, sits second among the drivers on 51.

R-ace GP moved into second in the Teams’ Championship after finishing second at Spa and taking the pole bonus point. Fabien Michal, Hugo Schwarze and Pierre-Alexandre Provost have 50 points, leaving them 15 behind CLX Motorsport.

Despite losing its Spa result, Rinaldi Racing remains third with 49 points. Inter Europol Competition follows on 41 after the #13 crew failed to score in Belgium.

Proton Competition retakes LMGT3 lead

Proton Competition returned to the top of a tightly packed LMGT3 championship after the #75 Porsche crew of Matthew Kurzejewski, Richard Lietz and Thomas Sargent finished fifth at Spa.

The Barcelona winners now have 53 points, only one more than Imola winners Blake McDonald, Alec Udell and Charlie Eastwood in the #33 TF Sport Corvette. With 52 points still available across the final two rounds, only 23 points cover the leading six teams.

Team Qatar by Iron Lynx continued its strong run with another podium on Maxime Martin’s home soil. The #62 Mercedes-AMG has climbed to third in the Teams’ standings on 47 points, level with the #77 Proton Competition Porsche.

Spa winners GR Racing made the largest move near the front. Mike Wainwright, Mex Jansen and Lorcan Hanafin collected 25 points and climbed to fifth on 46, only seven away from the championship lead.

Kessel Racing’s #57 Ferrari fell from third to sixth after failing to score at Spa and remains on 40 points.

Silverstone awaits with all four titles still open

With two rounds remaining, none of the four championships has a clear runaway leader.

Forestier Racing by Panis and United Autosports are tied on 70 points in LMP2, while Algarve Pro Racing and AF Corse share the LMP2 Pro/Am lead on 61. CLX Motorsport holds the largest advantage of any class with its 15-point LMP3 cushion, while only one point separates Proton Competition and TF Sport in LMGT3.

Round 5 of the 2026 ELMS season will take place with the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone on Sunday, 13 September.
