Aston Martin has confirmed that Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso will remain as their drivers for the 2027 F1 season.
Since the beginning of the 2023 season, the Spaniard and Canadian have been teammates. Alonso has utterly dominated Stroll across that period of time, proving he is still operating at a strong level.
However, 2026 has been a brutal year for the team. At the start of it, both the car and Power Unit were miles away. Since a significant update in Hungary that has improved the AMR26 chassis greatly, the pressure has been completly on Honda as their engine is a long way off Audi, nevermind Mercedes.
A P10 in Monaco and P9 in Zandvoort from the two-time F1 World Champion are the only points finishes they have bagged this year.
