In the Sprint Race earlier in the day, Max Verstappen won from Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Points leader Kimi Antonelli was gifted P4 as the McLarens collided with each other on the final lap. George Russell crashed out of the lead at the beginning of Lap 2.

Q1

As the session got underway, Esteban Ocon struggled with cold brakes and went straight at Turn 13, very, very gently touching the wall as he could not apply the lock required to turn left. Meanwhile, Lance Stroll had a big left front lock-up on the entry to Turn 7. At Turn 8, Isack Hadjar went straight on.

At the front, Lewis Hamilton logged a 1:33.311 to go 0.9s clear of Lando Norris, with Piastri a tenth further away.

Between Turns 13 and 14 on a decent length straight, Isack Hadjar came to a stop for about 20 seconds. However, he did get doing and limped back to the pits.

On their second push laps, Lando Norris pumped in a 1:33.047, 0.029s faster than Piastri. Verstappen went into 3rd ahead of Hamilton. Bearman, Hülkenberg and Gasly did very strong laps on newer tyres to go P5, P6 and P7.

Having done a 1:32.818, Kimi Antonelli lost his time due to massive understeer in Turn 1 and exceeding track limits.

At the front, Lewis Hamilton logged a 1:32.429 to end up fastest by 0.345s from teammate Charles Leclerc as Ferrari used a new set of softs. Norris followed as Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson split the McLarens. Hülkenberg, Gasly, Verstappen, Colapinto and Lindblad rounded out the top 10 as the midfield runners used new sets throughout Q1.

Bearman, Antonelli, Russell, Sainz, Ocon and Bortoleto also booked their spots in Q2.

Fernando Alonso missed out by 0.054s as he went deep at Turn 16 and lost that time and more. Albon, Stroll, Pérez and Bottas was the rest of the order. The big casualty was Isack Hadjar as a gearbox problem meant the French driver did not get a lap in during Q1 in the 2026 F1 Singapore GP qualifying.

Q2

George Russell went first, firing in a 1:32.323, although Kimi Antonelli immediately beat that as he clocked a 1:32.165. However, seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton showed his speed with an unbelievable 1:31.766, putting him 0.399s clear of the Italian.

Verstappen, Russell, Norris, Piastri, Leclerc, Lawson, Lindblad and Hülkenberg completed the top 10 after almost everyone did a lap. Gasly, Ocon, Bearman, Sainz, Colapinto and Bortoleto was the order behind that.

Over the Anderson Bridge, Gabriel Bortoleto had a monster moment with oversteer, had a big slide and was lucky to avoid the wall. When he did get a lap in, it was only enough for P15.

On a second push lap, Lando Norris went into 2nd, 0.129s away from Lewis Hamilton. Yet again, though, the Ferrari driver found more. Purple in Sectors 1 and 2, he lowered the benchmark to a 1:31.529.

Behind Hamilton, Verstappen went 2nd, 0.110s slower. Norris, Leclerc, Antonelli, Russell and Piastri was the remainder of the order of the top guns. Racing Bulls had a stellar session as Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad made it through in P8 and P9; Pierre Gasly also booked his place in Q3.

Unlike the aforementioned midfield runners, Nico Hülkenberg could not make a big step at the end of Q2 and was bumped out by 0.182s. Bearman, Ocon, Sainz, Bortoleto and Colapinto also departed.

At the end of Q2 in the 2026 F1 Singapore GP qualifying, Franco Colapinto had a big hit with the wall with his right hand side tyres at the notorious Turn 17 but could finish his lap.

Q3

Max Verstappen went first and he was rapid. A 1:31.373 put him 0.123s clear of Lewis Hamilton. The Brit had gone purple in Sector 2 but had understeer and oversteer through Sectors 1 and 3, costing him easily over a tenth. Kimi Antonelli was six hundredths further back.

Leclerc, Norris, Russell, Piastri, Lawson, Gasly and Lindblad was the remainder of the order ahead of the last run.

The last runs were a struggle for many. However, Charles Leclerc improved to get within 0.054s of pole position and take 2nd ahead of his teammate.

Antonelli, Norris, Russell, Piastri was the rest of the order with the big guns. Pierre Gasly pulled out a great lap at the end of Q3 at the 2026 F1 Singapore GP qualifying to beat the Racing Bulls duo of Lawson and Lindblad to 8th.
