Team WRT has unveiled the eighth and final special livery for its #69 BMW M4 GT3 EVO ahead of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season finale at Monza on 6–8 November. The LMGT3 entry, shared by Anthony McIntosh, Parker Thompson and Dan Harper, will carry a blue-and-white design inspired by the iconic 1980s ‘Denim’ BMW M1 Procar that competed in Monaco.
The design concludes a season-long programme celebrating BMW’s motorsport heritage, with the #69 entry sporting a different retro-inspired appearance at every WEC round. The project began at Imola before continuing through Spa, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Interlagos, Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Fuji and Barcelona.
Denim BMW M1 Procar inspires final 2026 livery
The Monza design pays tribute to the BMW M1 Procar that competed on the streets of Monaco in 1980, bringing another historic BMW colour scheme to the modern M4 GT3 EVO.
It follows the BASF ‘Cassette Tape’ livery used at Barcelona, which also drew inspiration from BMW’s racing history in the early 1980s.
Earlier designs included a Levi’s-inspired tribute to the BMW E9 3.0 CSL at COTA and the orange Jägermeister-inspired scheme at Fuji.
The Denim design completes McIntosh’s eight-race tribute programme as Team WRT prepares for the final event of the 2026 season.
Team WRT retains mathematical chance of LMGT3 title
McIntosh, Thompson and Harper enter Monza following a third-place finish at Barcelona, which kept the #69 BMW mathematically involved in the LMGT3 championship battle.
The crew currently occupies fourth in the standings with 66 points, trailing the championship-leading #33 TF Sport Corvette by 26. The #92 The Bend Manthey Porsche sits second on 74 points, while the #34 Racing Team Turkey by TF Corvette holds third with 70.
However, Team WRT faces a demanding scenario to secure the title. Thompson must claim the bonus point for LMGT3 pole position in Hyperpole, while the #69 BMW must win the six-hour race. All three championship rivals ahead of the BMW must also finish outside the points.
That combination would leave Team WRT level with the #33 Corvette on 92 points. The BMW crew would then secure the title through the victories countback, having claimed two wins compared with the Corvette’s one.
Although the title remains a mathematical possibility, the #69 crew will need a perfect weekend to overturn its deficit. The 6 Hours of Monza takes place on Sunday, 8 November, bringing both Team WRT’s special livery programme and the 2026 WEC season to a close.
