Andretti Formula E has appointed Callum Voisin as its Official Development Driver, with the 20-year-old set to support the team’s preparation for the 2026/27 GEN4 era.

With new machinery and a more demanding calendar, Voisin will work alongside race drivers Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich throughout Season 13. His responsibilities will focus on simulator work and race preparations, helping its engineers adapt to GEN4.

Notably, Voisin is already familiar with Andretti, having represented the team at the 2026 Official Rookie Test at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid, where he finished tenth. It marked his second appearance in a Formula E car, having made his debut with CUPRA Kiro during the 2026 Rookie Test in Berlin.

Beyond the all-electric championship, the British-Swiss driver had enjoyed success across several racing categories, most recently securing the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup GB title with nine wins.

Voisin on officially joining Andretti

Voisin shared his excitement about joining Andretti, eager to build on his previous experience and contribute to the team’s understanding of GEN4.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Andretti Formula E as Official Development Driver,” he said. “Working with the team at the rookie test gave me a great introduction to how everyone operates, so it’s exciting to be building on that relationship. There’s a lot to learn with GEN4 and I’m looking forward to supporting the team to prepare for each race.”

Hobson on Voisin’s potential

Andretti’s new Team Principal Campbell Hobson also welcomed Voisin to the team, outlining the importance of his role ahead of pre-season testing in Madrid and the season opener in Jeddah.

“We’re pleased to welcome Callum into a more permanent role with Andretti Formula E. His work in the simulator will be an important part of our race preparation, supporting our engineers and both drivers as we build our understanding of GEN4.”

He added: “Having already worked together at the rookie test earlier this year, there’s a foundation to build on and his success across different categories demonstrates his ability to adapt to new challenges.”
