F3 takes on the Belgian GP for Round 8 of the 2025 FIA Championship, starting with the Practice session. Drivers will have 40 minutes to get to grips with the high-speed circuit. Given the forecast of unpredictable weather throughout the weekend, chaos is almost inevitable. With nine different race winners so far this season, the question remains: will we see yet another new name added to the list?
Who’s currently in the title fight?
Rafael Câmara currently leads the championship with 120 points and will be looking to extend his advantage this weekend. He began the season in dominant form with back-to-back Feature Race victories, but hasn’t enjoyed the same success in recent rounds.
Tim Tramnitz sits second in the standings with 93 points heading into Spa. In fact, he has been in better form than Câmara recently, finishing ahead of him in three of the last four Feature Races.
Rounding out the top three is Nikola Tsolov, who holds 91 points. Notably, he has also etched his name into the history books this year by breaking the all-time F3 win record.
Mari Boya is also one to watch, as he pulled himself into contention after his P3 in the Sprint Race at Silverstone, as well as his Feature Race win. He trailed in fourth with 85 points, with the Championship title still within reach with 3 rounds to go.
Practice postponed at the F3 Belgian GP
The start of the practice session was delayed due to the foggy conditions at the circuit. With the 2025 model being a new car, teams and drivers alike were itching to get the cars out on track.
When the session entered 45 minutes delayed, drivers started to jump out their cars, anticipating the Practice session start, as race control hadn’t provided any updates since the earlier message.
Race control since postponed the Practice session, with updates to come for the rescheduled session.
