In his maiden Formula 3 season, Noah Strømsted’s pace and composure earned him sixth place in the 2025 F3 Drivers’ Championship. Although he debuted at the 2024 Monza finale, it was his first full campaign this year that firmly established him as a formidable competitor.
Scoring a total of 84 points, the Trident driver secured two second-place finishes and a Sprint Race victory in Belgium. He collected points in seven of the ten rounds, with his strongest performance coming at Imola, where he amassed 25 points across the two races.
Great start in Melbourne
Strømsted opened his F3 season in promising fashion, claiming his first podium in the 2025 opener. A broken front wing forced him to retire from the Sprint Race, but the Feature Race was an entirely different story. Starting on the front row alongside his team-mate, he faced a demanding battle in wet conditions.
Holding close behind pole-sitter Rafael Câmara, Strømsted maintained his composure under pressure and delivered a controlled drive to secure an early podium. The Mercedes junior showed impressive potential, particularly for a rookie
Teammate challenges in Bahrain
Arriving at the Sakhir round, Strømsted’s Sprint Race difficulties persisted. After qualifying in a respectable P7, he seemed to struggle throughout the race and fell back down the field. He held on to bring home a single point, yet the Feature Race was far from smooth either.
There, the Danish driver found himself battling with his other team-mate, Charlie Wurz. The pair fought on track as Strømsted attempted an overtake. Determined and unwavering, the Mercedes junior eventually made the move stick. Securing P6, this notable finish added a further eight points to his 2025 F3 Championship tally.
Incredible recoveries at Imola
As the first round of the triple header arrived, Strømsted capitalised on his momentum to produce his best overall race weekend of the 2025 F3 season. A strong qualifying performance earned him a P3 start for the Feature Race, giving him a solid platform to build on.
He began the Italian Sprint Race in P10 due to the reverse grid, but refused to let this hinder him. Making the most of every overtaking opportunity, he climbed to an eventual P6. However, the Feature Race was where his abilities shone the brightest. Despite an unfortunate start that cost him several positions, a series of bold overtakes brought him back to P2, delivering another 1–2 finish for Trident alongside Câmara.
Monaco’s disappointing outcome
For the most exclusive round of the 2025 F3 season, Strømsted’s luck took a turn for the worse. For the first time that year, the Trident driver started outside the top 12. A three-car fight with Dufek and Benavides resulted in an early DNF for the Dane.
The Feature Race brought further frustration. After finishing outside the points, Strømsted collected his first penalty of the 2025 season—a 10-second time penalty for crossing the white line at the pit exit while attempting an overtake, and failing to return the position. It was another difficult race for the Mercedes junior.
A tricky Barcelona round
Determined to regain momentum, Strømsted approached the final round of the triple header with hopes of improvement. Instead, his Sprint Race was marked by disappointment when an issue with his Trident car saw him fall from P2 to a DNF. Despite the strong overtakes he had made early in the race, the problem was beyond his control.
Fortunately, the Barcelona Feature Race was unaffected by technical issues. Although he lost two positions at the start, the Dane recovered well and held onto P8 until the chequered flag. With four more points secured, Strømsted still had five rounds remaining to rebuild his season.
Frustrating results in Austria
After a month-long break, the F3 2025 season resumed in Spielberg, bringing new difficulties for Strømsted. A strong P3 in qualifying showed his pace, but the Sprint Race became one of his most disappointing results of the year. A Safety Car-interrupted run disrupted his rhythm, and he crossed the line in P21.
The Feature Race allowed the Mercedes junior to recover some respectability, but a few mistakes cost him key positions. Finishing P8, he left Austria frustrated after missing out on another podium opportunity.
Another let-down at Silverstone
Strømsted’s frustrations deepened as he headed to the seventh round of the 2025 F3 season. Struggling to find a competitive lap time in qualifying, he started the Sprint in P15 and finished P13.
Worse was yet to come. In treacherous, stormy conditions throughout the British round, he quickly dropped down the pack in the Feature Race. In one of the toughest races of his season, the Mercedes junior ended up P28.
Incredible change of pace in Belgium
Arriving at the historic Spa-Francorchamps following several difficult rounds, Strømsted was determined to turn his season around. Qualifying P11 set him up for a front-row start in the Sprint. Passing Freddie Slater for the lead on lap three, the Trident driver maintained control for a dominant drive.
Taking his first Formula 3 win with a six-second advantage, Strømsted finally saw his luck improve. Although the Feature Race was cancelled due to severe weather conditions, his commanding Sprint win earned him 11 valuable points and renewed confidence.
A weekend to forget at the Hungaroring
Despite his best efforts to establish a consistent run of strong results, Strømsted lacked the pace needed to challenge his rivals. The Hungarian round echoed earlier struggles, beginning with a P14 finish in qualifying. The Sprint Race yielded little improvement as he crossed the line in P17.
The Feature Race brought a slight uplift, but not enough to match the frontrunners. As a result, the Mercedes junior dropped to sixth in the 2025 F3 standings.
A victorious way to wrap up 2025
Heading into the 2025 F3 Monza finale, Strømsted was under pressure to take advantage of his last opportunity to gain confidence and points. Qualifying in group B saw him place P10, but the Danish rookie did not let that diminish his determination for the Sprint.
Drawing on all the experience gained throughout his debut season, he delivered a strong drive to secure P8, adding another point to Trident’s total. The Feature Race showcased his resilience once more. After several hard-fought on-track battles, Strømsted finished P6, bringing his maiden season to a respectable close.

As he prepares for a second season with Trident, the Dane will reflect on his mistakes and concentrate on further progress as he advances in his career.
